  • Thanks AB for that advice, very useful. Hi to all, old and new.

Do these sound like good reasons to consider moving again after only 2 weeks? I´m a quiet person, and there is too much noise, the TV is on loud from early to late, I can´t work in the house because of the noise, lack of light, and we still don´t have internet. A (secure) internet connection is absolutely essential for my work. I don´t suppose the landlady would be too pleased, but this is causing me serious inconvenience (and lack of sleep).

Yes but check your contract and take your time this time

  • No contract, but I don´t know how much notice they insist on.

    Hi

I woke up in a good mood today but read a comment on another forum about something I was upset about. It has upset me. It was certainly not useful or helpful and bought me down a bit.

I have certainly come across some horrible people lately, and I haven't been feeling that great to be able to deal with it.

The types I am getting fed up with having to deal with

Rude shop people - they are either young and useless or middle aged (over 50) frumpy Hitlers.

Our landlord - he is in the young and uncaring category. We are paying top rent and getting treated shoddily. The agent is being run by 20 year old boys with no idea of customer service. We love the house but it is bringing us down and spoiling the place for us. I wish they would hurry up and get the jobs done so we can stop having to deal with them. We have never had to deal with this type of amateur letting agents.

People being rude and calling it honest. You can be honest without being harsh and hurtful.
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.

    :hello: Everyone,

Hope all is well,I am fine,I went out and met my friends for a coffee except they were outside and I was inside in the warm.

    Hi all

*waves to everyone old and new (and inbetween?:D)*

Am typing fast as DD2 has very unexpectedly fallen asleep on sofa so am whizzing round doing loads of stuff including 10 or so mins on here which I am justifying to myself as I have just cleaned up the kitchen, I don't have to pick up DD1 from school as she's going straight round to a friend's house and if DD2 still asleep when finished typing this am going to start on dinner  How organised am I?!

Saw our new health visitor this morning. Very lovely, ended up telling her my life story (poor girl) and she's offered to write a letter to my psychiatrist outlining I feel like I need more support, and highlighting how the 'up and down' nature of my depression means I may not be getting support I need because at time I appear more than okay, so lose out when I'm not.

I posted Sunday evening about my OH and his very regular going out. I took a lot of time to think about it, I deliberately didn't say anything because I wasn't sure what to say or whether to say anything. Anyone else ever like that - you know you are cross but you take time out, so to speak, before you get angry - or before you choose to stop being angry?

I posted in the Arms and something someone said made me think. Because of how things are, I think I focus too much on him. I'm a stay-at-home mummy and I rarely go out because this pregnancy makes me so tired, and because money is tight, so all I focus on is us. I didn't used to have so little of my own, so to speak, and I don't think it helps. I need something of my own, and I think this will go some way to redressing the balance.

I don't think I'll ever want to go out as much as he does, or that he'll necessarily cut down. But I can change how I think and react to that, something which I try and carry with me but it gets forgotten sometimes when things are hard. Hopefully AB might have something to contribute about this...:)

CCstar - don't feel bad. Threads, and people, just evolve. Its a sad fact that I don't feel comfortable here anymore, and I'm sure a few other people have disappeared. Its just what happens when you get lots of different people who probably wouldn't normally be friends. Post when you feel like it, and try not to take the replies (or lack of replies) to heart. Perhaps there is somewhere else you'd feel more happy? Sometimes we just grow apart and don't fit where we want to :(

BTW, did you know I'm having a baby?!
