Hi guys, I wonder if anyone mids if I join you here. I'm normally over with the debt free wannabees having become debt free earlier this year. Am having a tough time at the moment, fed up of being a singleparent and coping on my own with all the usual stuff life throws at you and currently off from work with moderate depression (doc gave me Fluoxetine on Friday). Cannot face going to work as there's a person there who has been constantly destryoing my self confidence over the last few years and it's got to the point that I've made a complaint to my boss and HR have become involved.

Currently got a boyfriend who has lots of his own problems at the moment and 2 children aged 14 and 11. Have spent the whole weekend with my boyfriend and its been a struggle blinking the tears back all weekend. Done nothing but cry on the drive home last night and have woken up today and feel no better. I just feel so tired with life and all that it throws at me.

    How do you all cope?
  • Congratulations on becoming debt-free, GR, that is a huge achievement and one you should be very proud of.

I've been diagnosed with anxiety rather than depression, but have hit some really low points lately owing to the break-up of a relationship. Throwing myself into work has helped, and being proud of every achievement, however small (at the weekend, I did my first ever paid head massage!)
  • AB, I'm really interested in your knowledge of psychology. I've no idea if Mr Sunshine and I will ever get back together, but I'm only prepared to do so if he stops nagging me and telling me how to do everything. Can he be persuaded to change his behaviour? If so, how do I go about it?

Welcome Girlracer. Life can be very difficult sometimes, but we get through it somehow. Just being here, helps a lot.

I don't recall SF, but my PM box is always open if you want to talk.
