miacat wrote:scooper, i have just about tried all the natural hair products going. most are expensive but if your lucky get down to your local £ land and get yourslf some organic hair juice shampoo could'nt believe it when i saw it cos superdrug used to sell it for £3.99 (which is still a good price for organic shampoo) it doesn't contain sls of course. which reminds me, must pick some up! if you have a local health food shop try urtekrin shampoo £3.25 again a good price for an all natural shampoo.
found some this week at my local 99p shop. it was daniel galvin junior organic hair juice, pack of shampoo and conditioner for 99p. also had twin packs of sls free organic [same brand] body lotion.
it looks really nice, but have not tried it yet. shampoo and conditoner said the rrp was nearly 8 pounds.0 -
sooz, thanks, did'nt see the body lotion, will try and get some. (packs of 2 for 99p) thought £1.00 each was pretty good.0

I thought I would share with anyone looking for SLS free products that I have been getting mine from www.theorganiccollective.co.uk they are really cheap and loads are certified organic by the Soil Assocation which gives you more piece of mind. Also its great as you can earn reward points just like you can at Boots. Hope that helps someone.0

Is this the latest fashion craze in the UK?
Certified by the Soil Association means nothing, anyway. It's well documented that they aren't exactly..rigorous with their checks. From Poland...with love.
They are (they're) sitting on the floor.
Their books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.0 -
I used to get mine from Dr Haushka (I think that's how it's spelt). Problem was, my hair looked like rats so I went back to all the chemicals, then people started complimenting me on how good my hair looked suddenly. The nautral products didn't do much for my kids hair either. Really dry and very tangled. By all means, have a go, but just because it's natural don't expect to be amazed by the results.£66.77/£240 Grocery Challenge0

There's a company called Faith in Nature that provides shampoos, skincare, cleaning products, etc, etc, which are SLES and parabens free. Website is here. Don't be put off by the bulk buying page, you can obviously buy 'normal' sized products. I've used them for a while and find them just as good as mainstream products.
Their products tend to be stocked in health food stores - I'm not sure whether they can be bought in places like Holland and Barrett, but there's a stockist finder on the main page.
Don't be misled by Lush - although they have some fantastic products you have to watch for preservatives and SLS in some of their products.

Can you give me some references?0 -
There is a new range of baby products that don't contain these chemicals, but anyone could use them and they're reasonably priced - called Halo and Horns, and linked to the new channel 4 programme 'Make me a Millionaire'. Sainsburys are definitely stocking them and I think some of the other big supermarkets are too. My baby's eczema is definitely better after using them.
