The Muller coupon is print using Couponnet (safecoupons). It put your name on the coupon.
I think the old ones from Couponnet do not print your name out.0 -
I've asked around checkout staff, its nothing personal, they sometimes get coupons to the extreme, where someone spends £40 and try and use £38 of coupons where £34 are rejected. Personally when I work in store, I have no problems with coupon acceptance as long as you play fair (Not you personally)
10% OR 5 coupons which ever occurs first (reduced to 1 coupon in some branches) depending on branch
I've asked, the supervisor on our front end said as long as they stock the product or if out of stock has an SEL they will take the coupon
You will find they will all start the same policy soon, but the rudeness is unacceptable
Its not personal as explained earlier, it could be a previous customer has tried using alot of coupons abusing policy.
Re the "I will go to another supermarket" if you say that to a GA it won't swey them if anything you will get their back up as they have heard that 57 times previously even tonight I heard someone say that me because I refused to reduce a sandwich in the garage with 3 days left on the use by and then wouldnt allow the cashier to accept his 5p coupon on 2 cars
You should never be embarrassed to use coupons, seriously, even staff use them (EVen the women who are arsey about their acceptance)
Re carrying copy of the policy, I assume that just gets the TL's backs up?
I for one have never told an SA that I am going to another supermarket - I just go and no it is not due to their coupon policy it is because when a T SA has been rude to me I do not want to give T my hard earned money and prefer to give it where the staff are trained properly to be nice to customers- even if they are still ticked off with a previous customer
I have worked in customer service myself and have had difficult and abusive customers but never never take that out on the next person I dealt with.
Neither do I carry a copy of T coupon policy. I am fairly new to using coupons and like to get money off when I can but when I state that I will vote with my feet - on this forum not at T as I am sure their staff don't care one way or the other - I mean that I will accept the other supermakets coupon policy whatever it is but at least their staff with be polite and helpful instead of rude and scowling making the whole shopping trip an unpleasant ordeal. I have never had coupons worth more than £5 in total against a £90-100 shop and often find that I can save that amount on other supermarket offer without coupons
As for the staff who are rude using coupons themselves they obviously get a kick out of treating customers badly and there is no excuse for that and I blame the manager for allowing it so again will vote with my feet rather than be treated badly just for using a few coupons0 -

Agreed, good post.
I tell friends about coupons and am happy for others to get the savings I do - but I tell them to have some common sense and don't ring Dundee about coupons. Find out your store's own policy and stick with that. If you get turned down for a few MOCs sometimes take it on the chin (IMHO only go to Store CS if a staff member is actually rude).
I see you have correctly referred to Dundee as Customer Services, as indeed that's all they are. In spite of what some staff at a store may say, Dundee are not Head Office, they are a Call Centre and most of their staff haven't a clue about the correct coupon policy because no info was ever sent to Dundee about it.
So let's not make coupons one of the main reasons for phone calls as this will flag up (Call Centres continually monitor the most common phone call subjects and try to address any issues to reduce call traffic).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Tesco and other supermarkets have clocked on to what your doing, so it won't be too long till policy changes0 -
I cannot understand why everyone is continually emailing Tesco about this. They are going to get fed up and suspicious , and withdraw their generous policy, for fear of it becoming a target of the MOC companies anger.
There is copy of their policy on this forum. Just print it and carry it as backup, so you cannot be acused of being a thief. If your store still says no, find another.
I have hundreds of coupons, but i am frantically trying to get rid of them, before someone on here pushes Tesco in a different direction.
Here here Harrietxxx, just as the person above said at the start of this thread.
Oh, was it me,i hadnt realised

Thank you all for the reply. I have been a little reluctant to call Dundee because I really don't want to rock the boat anymore. Even though I'm not able to use coupons at my Tesco I'm glad someone else's Tesco is more reasonable and lets you do it.
The main reason I had posted originally is, I'm trying to find a Tesco in NI that will take coupons. I asked on the NI board but so far nobody uses coupons for anything bar what the coupon is for.Norn Iron Club Member No 1270 -

Northern Ireland has always been tricky (policy wise) what stores are you using?0 -

This is the best post! Coupons are a privaledge not a god given right.

It seems as if d.edna is not one of us couponners but only on this forum to answer back on behalf of Tesco
I have read posts 631/633/639 and 642 where d.edna has a go at some of us for our comments and always has an explanation on behalf of Tesco after saying the commets made towards us 'are not personal'
Well I think they are and I think d.edna knows a lot
about store policy/what supervisors and managers decide and types of contract for employees etc AND is now asking members of this forum which Tesco they shop in - be very careful folks
When I joined this forum a few months ago I did it after reading a lot of posts and one of them included a post - whether it is right or not I don't know - but it mentioned someone named Kevin Kelly who is alleged to work in customer service Dundee and started to pick on customers who were complaining on this forum and to Dundee and harassed them even phoning them at home, banning them and wiping their points from their loyalty cards
Now I don't believe everything that I read but if that really did happen we all need to be wary about saying where we shop if asked and who we really are
The post that I read gave sites to read about all of this and they are http://www.tesco-complaint.blogspot.com and htt;//www.verylittlehelps.com/index...2&action=forum
I didn't bother to look myself so am not sure if I have got them quite right but it has made me very careful just in case and either way I still feel that when d.edna says the above d.edna does not see herself/himself as one of us but is on here to answer for Tesco and to see what we are all saying
I for one love Tesco, yes yes I really really do - please believe me!!!!!
Thanks techspec post 646 but as i said I wasn't sure when I first posted but have edited now, hopefullu correctly as per natasha8642 post 651 who has the correct link. Thanks Natasha - i am not too good with computers and am also a wrinkly so please make allowance for my age and inexperience!!!0 -
Popped into Tesco today went through Self Scan and used £1.50 off Mitchum. SA came running over and snatched coupon at of my hand before I had chance to put into coupon box. She then went rummaging through my bag asking if I had purchased the product. The supervisor was called who stated that one coupon per transaction could be used without buying the product and therefore I had done nothing wrong. The SA was made to apologise and the supervisor stated that policy had changed due to abuse and use of photocopies. So although £1.50 off it seems I will not be able to use more than 1 per transaction in future0
