Just spoke to Tesco Customer service and they confirmed what my local store said - you cannot use coupons unless you buy the item, and managers ARE free to ban internet coupons.
They also told me that the only store within travelling distance that did accept one of each internet coupon - has now banned them completely. The reason given - copying.
Asda customer service say that you must buy the item if you are using internet coupons, although you can use 10% of non internet coupons.
I asked both when their policy had changed, and they said it has always been this way.
I have a lot of coupons that run out tomos, so if anyone knows an asda/waitrose/tesco near Bradford/hudds/halifax that DOES accept them, please PM me.
Think it depends on who you get at Tesco Customer Service as well as which SA you get in store. Tesco Customer Service have told me that they will accept coupons without you buying the product. I used £15 of coupons today in my local Tesco, I only bought 2 of the items that I had coupons for. As usual in my local store all were accepted with no problems.
Asda Customer Service have also recently told me somthing different from what you have been told.:j Debt free since 31/01/08:j

Can someone advise what size to print .jpg coupons etc please.
i try printing them actual size and many come out rather large - especially bodyform.
Also I've had problems with the Ryvita coupon (never worked once) as well as the new tetley one. Which ones do others have problems with?
(never had any problems with michum, appletiser, cow and gate)0 -
Had a response this morning to my complaint about my vouchers being refused.
"Thanks for getting in touch.
I am sorry for the poor experience you had in store when using the
internet coupons.
Our current policy regarding internet coupons is as follows:
Internet Coupons
We accept Internet Coupons under the same stringent conditions as old
style manufacturers' coupons:
1 That they are in date
2. They are not specific to different retailers (non Asda)
3. We stock the product
One temporary rule until we decide a more comprehensive policy is-
Only 1 internet coupon per product item in any single transaction -
Unless the customer actually buys the product and in multiples that
reflect the number of coupons tendered.
If you need any extra help, please let us know.
Kind Regards
ASDA Service Team"0 -

Have you tried putting them into a word processing document? I copy my image into a blank page and then can fit 4/6/8 whatever the size allows to a page
Sometimes the barcodes just don't work - I have the same problem for ryvita but the SA will type them in for youI miss using my infinite coupons at Tesco!
2010 was the worst year ever

I too have had problems with the Ryvita, Tetley and Bodyform coupons - they never scan. I think it must be a problem with the original file, certainly the Ryvita barcode has some very thick black lines on and I'm sure they should not be like that. Anyway the SA usually types in the barcode instead but if there are too many more like that I think they might just get fed up and refuse to take them!0 -

Hope anyone that wanted to make note of the links did so :rolleyes:You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

That'll be the day stamford! Any firm that allowed it for a MOC this size would be mad...but not this time because the Airwick MOC is a Couponstar-style one (only print one or two then that's it).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm sure many people could me included, but this is against policy and fraud they are personalised with an id code regardless of what name address was put in it will still record the IP address and if they receive back 50 copies of a coupon with the same ID code it will not go unnoticed. Also Tesco will also not get paid and it gives them another reason to change policy.AKA: PC
