The airwick coupon wouldn't scan in waitrose today - the sa said it was probably because it was more than 10% of the bill and that was the store policy. But she had already scanned £10 of coupons against a £26 bill so I don't see how that could have been the reason.

Never knew about this 10% policy in my local anyway - I've been going in most days with coupons and it's never been mentioned before. How rubbish if it is enforced - a poxy quid off every tenner!

Has anyone tried the airwik in tesco without buying it yet?

I used one in Waitrose today and it scanned with no problem, my bill came to £16.27 and using other coupons as well I ended up paying just 7p even though I told the SA that he had put through enough he just kept going - happy days!!

Asda today - CS advised me that from 3rd Nov no coupons accepted unless buy product (confirmed) so next few weeks can have my 20p ones ready for my switch to Tesco (all being well).

Think someone who is good a writin letters should do a standard one like sayin stupid policy we gonna switch to Tesco blah blah so we can all copy paste into email and inundate the Asda CS wiv this; may not do much but they may think how much buisness loosin and Tesco gaining..... Ideas???

Oh, also, today i found this

It's something about a iceland card you can get in store, and you scan it each time you shop, and you get money off coupons :)

Just spoke to Tesco Customer service and they confirmed what my local store said - you cannot use coupons unless you buy the item, and managers ARE free to ban internet coupons.

They also told me that the only store within travelling distance that did accept one of each internet coupon - has now banned them completely. The reason given - copying.

Asda customer service say that you must buy the item if you are using internet coupons, although you can use 10% of non internet coupons.

I asked both when their policy had changed, and they said it has always been this way confused-smiley-013.gif.

I have a lot of coupons that run out tomos, so if anyone knows an asda/waitrose/tesco near Bradford/hudds/halifax that DOES accept them, please PM me.
