Does anyone know the current ASDA policy on accepting money off coupons (MOC's) if you do not buy the product.
My local ASDA in Stockport stopped accepting them about 5 weeks ago0 -
Here is what they are now saying hth's
hanks for your email to our service team.
Our coupon acceptance policy is as follows.
We will accept all manufacturers' coupons (including internet coupons) in line with the terms and conditions of each coupon I.e. Customers must buy the product to redeem the coupon.
There is no limit to the number of coupons that can be redeemed in a transaction, as long as they are redeemed against the product specified e.g. 24 x 10p coupons off Heinz baked beans - customer must purchase 24 cans of Heinz baked beans.
1. The coupon must be 'in date'
2. The coupon must not be for a specific retailer other than ASDA. e.g. 20p off toothpaste at Tesco 3. The customer must have purchased the product
Each coupon has a bar code, which should be scannable.
Self Scan
All coupons tendered at self-scan will now require authorisation. This means that with each coupon scanned, the system will automatically trigger an intervention and the host must authorise.
Once again, thanks for contacting us.
Yours sincerely
Kelvin Edet
ASDA Service TeamThanks for any help and advice given

went straight to customer services this afternoon prior to shopping to double check the waitrose voucher ( also had a £3 off £30 sainsburys and a £3 off £20 tesco voucher) ummed and arghed and said in order to use them all I would have to spend £110:cool: asked if they were sure about that, said they hadnt heard anything about any email so sent me to the checkout supervisor ( said she will probably know more than they do:D lol) went over to checkout supervisor who then said no problem whatsoever use them all. Got myself an epson printer reduced from £79.99 to £39.99 and £20 of shopping used all my conditional spend vouchers plus some wineclub ones plus some MOC's and paid £30.83 - I absolutely love Mr T:D0

Good news!!! With regard to the Waitrose voucher that was n`t accepted at a nearby Tescos to me- I rang CS, as several of you had kindly suggested, spoke to a really nice girl called Laura, who initially said `no, we don`t take those`, but added that she would check with her supervisor. She rang me back within half an hour, saying that they did take them (no mention of proximity, or lack of it, to any store). I`v e had to send both the voucher & the receipt to her, & she`s said she will then send me a £10 gift card by return- RESULT!:j thanks everyone for all your help.0

Hi Lovely Lisa! :santa2:
A sticky thread is one that the moderators of a forum have decided is important/popular enough to be permanently stuck on the first page of a forum board. Usually it's informative threads which are regularly updated, as opposed to chat like on this one.
So if you click on the blue words Discount Codes 'n' Vouchers (at the top of this page just above IMPORTANT! This forum isn't moderated) your result will give you all the threads in order of most recent posts - except that the first few will always be the 'stickies' (they say STICKY next to them and will be above everything else on the list displayed, even if there are more recent posts on the non-sticky threads).
The reason is to stop the popular informative/update threads from being knocked down to page 2 - or even further back - on the board they are posted on.
So this thread we're on now is 'only' chat so it's not a sticky. You'll sometimes find it on page 2 or 3 of your search of the Discount Codes 'n' Vouchers board if there hasn't been a very recent post. But the 'No Chat' thread is a sticky, so it will always be on page one when you click as I have described above.
Sorry if I am explaining something you already know, it's hard to judge. But I recall when I was a newbie to forums and for a long time I only ever used to click 'new posts' then trawl through absolutely everything until I found the newspaper thread each day, for instance!
Now I click on Discount Codes 'n' Vouchers when I want to read all this sort of couponing stuff and check the newspaper thread (which changes each day as you know so cannot be subscribed to). Then I will maybe change the board I am viewing by clicking on 'Forums' then scrolling down to 'Grabbit while you Can' if I want to quickly find the Tesco misprices thread (rather than searching the whole forums for 'Tesco misprices').
HTHPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD0 -

Thanks Coupon Mad - all this Forum stuff is all gobble-gook to me but I am getting there - slowly but surely...... - being catapolted into the 21st century!!! Thanks for your help this a.m. also - went back in there and gave 'em "what for" and got some money back in exchange for more coupons - all good fun!!! xx :rolleyes:Coupons Rock! :j0 -
Hi peeps thought i'd posted on this thread yesterday but must be wrong!! Anyway all I was going to point out is that before your coupons go out of date you can buy tesco gift cards with them and this is perfectly legit!! So it effectivley turns coupons into cash!!!! And the best bit is the gift cards have no expirey date!!!
Hope this helps peeps.0 -
I had a really annoying experience in my local tesco today. I took in four pounds worth of coupons, none internet and all in date. I took the same amount in last week and had no problem. The cashier said I could not use them as Tescos policy is you buy the product or you cant use them. I was not a happy bunny and asked for someone to check this out. Two customer service people came over. Yes two! They both said that it had never been tescos policy to accept vouchers where people had not bought the products. I was pretty angry and nearly left all my shopping, but as a good will gesture they accepted them. I got home tonight and rung up and quoted to them the email I had from customer services saying that they do accept coupons and you don't need to buy them. The manager I spoke to agreed and apologised for my treatment (I was made to feel like an idiot)!! He also said that there policy is to accept these coupons and he will be making sure that the people in the store know the policy in future. He also asked if I would put everything in writing.
I just wondered if anyone else has had a problem like this.Never argue with a fool, they will lower you to their level and then beat you with experience.........!!!:rotfl::T0
