mumoffour - you are an inspiration!! :j:j:jHuge congratulations!:j:j:j
I'm just so pleased for you!

TAG - :j:j:jCongratulations to your DS, and :bdaycake:Happy birthday too!:j:j:j

Kaz - :j:j:jCongratulations to your DS! He did fantastically well!:j:j:j There will be no end of questions asked in the school about the Geography result. I have just been looking at the TES forum at the Modern Languages results, which they agreed had been very harshly marked. Quite a few schools will be appealing and asking for re-marking, and I bet your DS's school will be doing the same for their Geog.

mof - thank you - it's one of my favourite quotes, although I have come across slightly different versions. Supposed to be George Eliot. I took as it my encouraging motto when I decided out of the blue to go back to teaching two years ago after a career break of 16 years.

Have you tried using the clicky things for bites that stop the bite developing its itch? They're really good (just don't use them on your leg with your foot resting on the side of an enamel bath like I did :D. It made me realise that it gives you an electric shock  ). I can't remember what they're called, but can probably find out.

Congratulations/hugs as needed for those who have had exam results.

Thanks I have one - nothing topical works for me as I have a reaction to all bites and stings - I don't like to say alergy as that sounds dramatic but it is that sort of reaction. I have not scratched them but the areas swells and goes rock hard.

kindlesgirl Thats quite a list-well done
boddy Hope you get the phone sorted-I feel so insecure when I dont have one.
froddington lots of calming pixie dust your way-a job that big needs you to keep your wits about-you'll do fine, and I'd love to see the final result (***sigh***)
DK Hope you feel better soon.
Kazm Hope you have a fab holiday
jo1972 So happy you got your "mojo" back:beer:

And now to all of you

DH said something to me tonight that made me think of what Valli said the other night and me being homesick. I don't have a garden here but our downstairs neighbour commented the other day that if we want to use the courtyard in the front of the house (we dont as its right by their lounge window), I realised that I miss gardening and so Im going to try start some herb boxes.
But thats not what I wanted to say-just that it all brought me round to reading the thread through again and I realised that maybe I came on with bad timing.
Ive been rather negative and definately feeling sorry for myself...
I wanted to tell you all Im soooo sorry. Im not normally like this(as some seem to know already). I know what I need to do to snap out of it and I promise that by the end of the weekend I will have done so.
You are all such inspirational people to talk to and I have gotten so much more out of a week on this board than I have in months of investment elsewhere.
Thank you to every one of you, I feel like a whole new person and no its only going to get better.
Im going to have an early night tonight with my herb encyclopedia that I got at BRC for £1.50:D and then in the morning Ill be raring to go.
    Sleep tight everyone.
