  • no wonder i never get much further on.

DS2 asleep for 8:15, by the time we had eaten it was nearly 9. Then ILs phoned. So basically this evening, i have
    • tried to ring to cancel a mortgagePPI, and it was shut even though in the published hours
    • emptied the 2 big airers plus 2 radiator airers
    • clothes mostly folded and away in DS1's wardrobe, some added to ironing pile
    • hung up a load of wet washing on the 2 big airers
    • reloaded WM for tomorrow morning
    • cats fed, fat fred had another close encounter with the scissors
    • i've written a card to send as wedding acceptance, just need DH to decide what he wants to eat so i can post it
    • put xmas pressies i have bought into the cupboard
    • finished unpacking another bag - only another 2 to do, one of which is the swimming stuff
    • DH washed up and cleaned the benches a bit for me
    • we had a quick toy tidy up
    • we discussed plans for xmas break, so i can book cats into cattery in my next spare minute
    • found a recipe for Saturday nights dinner with friends
    • defragged the computer
    • emptied kitchen bin
and the house still looks like a shed, and i can't believe it is Thursday tomorrow.

My head is a bit whirly gig at the moment trying to think of what i need to do all the time.

Congrats to those of you who have managed flying today

pigpen - great DD5 is being sorted

gandb - glad DD enjoyed herself at school

vanilla - sounds like an eventful day. I missed what happened to the dog in the 1st place - should try and look back for that.

holly - well done for getting some decorating done. It can't be easy. I'm surprised you aren't getting a bit more help

GCSE results day already - i normally go into work, but as i will have both kids with me, and i am not even sure if the school site is open at the moment - it is surrounded with the steel sheets they have put up.

Anyway, almost bed time for me. Tomorrow is a new day, let's see what it brings me.

Im sorry- I know this is my third post in about 10 minutes but I just saw the list.
Pigpen did you do this especially for me:A

I just had to start my strikethroughs as its such an easy list:

Thursday Throwout!!- Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
Check fire alarms are working.. mine needs a new battery... I didn't think it was working until it alarmed at me the other day!
[strike]Remove and wash bed linen and duvet covers[/strike]. New set washed already but will replace on Friday once new mattress arrives
[strike]Fling open the window and let in the rain sunnyness
[/strike] Our windows are never closed. The last tenants never had them open so we're still trying to get the house full of "our own smells"

    Level 2
    [strike]Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs..[/strike][strike]
[/strike] All done today (except pc area) between nightstand task from flylady email and extra missions today.

Vacuum & turn mattress before replacing with fresh linen.. Wont bother since its going on Friday
Air the duvet Same as above
    [strike]15 minutes floordrobe clearance
[/strike] For the first time in probably my life there is NO floordrobe to clear:j Thats because of the laundry tasks in flyladys mail (three loads today)

    Level 3
[strike]Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing[/strike][strike]
[/strike] Did this yesterday (there is no lounge floor to hoover and I mopped that the night before so maybe Ill mop the lounge again instead.

Sort through a cupboard and fling everything that is dead Wont have any trouble with finding one of these-I'll do the junk drawer that I missed yesterday in the kitchen.
Clear a hotspot.. or spend 15 minutes clearing one. mmm:think: maybe I'll do the pc area tommorow to replace this one.
Extra tasks list, as usual choose one or more

    1. 32 fling boogie time, go on grab a bag and clear that clutter
    2. [strike]Clean all paintwork on the landing [/strike] Been wanting to ask about this one-we have wallpaper (dum idea if you ask me) and it was grubby before we moved in. Now they have DS choccie fingers all over too. I've no idea how to clean it and LL has no desire to strip it. He seems to think this wallpaper is of "a rare design" and is very sentimental to him.
    3. Clean windows in these rooms
    4. [strike] Clear out your spare linen.. all those holey sheets, manky duvet covers and stained pillow cases.. FLING!! [/strike] Did this over the weekend whilst looking for stuff to freecycle.
    Also:
    1. Download driver for printer
    2. Buy ink cartridges and paper
    3. Replacement playdate for the one cancelled yesterday-Im going there so there should be no outing on me-we'll see how that turns out.
    4. Finish ironing (Only a few items left)
    5. Spend 15 minutes working on menu plan for next month

Looks like I'm going to get ahead this week, as I did my bed today (seeing as I spent most of Tuesday in it, it needed doing :o ). I've had more time at home this week because of being ill, and because I don't really feel like working I'm getting lots of stuff done in between checking my emails and delegating ;) I even ironed all the bedlinen I'd washed within an hour of it coming out of the dryer  I don't think that's ever happened before:rotfl:

My GP says not to go into the office until after the bank holiday (when my test results come back) but although I can deal with tomorrow via teleconferences (I'll get those last few windows and skirtings washed then :D ) or rescheduling, Friday's sessions CAN'T be moved as other people are going on leave. Let's hope I'm feeling better by then...

MOF77- it might be worth seeing whether moving to chemical-free toiletries and cleaning materials (if you haven't already) might help for your DD. Health food shops are a good starting point for this, but you really have to read the ingredients carefully as some toiletries claim to be 'natural' or 'organic' and aren't very... I've also got a friend who put a water filter on her rising main (a bit drastic, I know) and since then both her sons' eczema has vanished.
