    I need a prayer too..

For peace and serenity.. my mother is threatening to come over 'first thing in the morning' (ie lunchtime to us normal folks) and 'help tidy'.. (ie.. get in the way, under my feet and want waiting on) and I honestly think I will be the first person in the offy when it opens at 12 tomorrow... wonder if it opens earlier???

MOAM - sorry to hear about your job news

Tia - good news about your friend, hope it all goes well. Congratulations on the business.

Polka - it's breakfast, lunch, dinner here. When we were children it was a 'tea' night if Dad was out so we had beans on toast or similar rather than a meat veg type meal IYSWIM

GnB - glad the first day at school went OK and good news about the bunny - may be he heard you were considering that he might be the one to go :rotfl:

Vanilla - Bo is certainly keeping you all on your toes, good to hear that no damage appears to have been done today

Pigpen - good that DD5 is now going to be referred. Hope all the preparations are going well for the 21st on Thursday, busy day with GCSEs as well - good luck

Serena - good luck for your DD's results

SSL - unbelievable re the prayer

DeniseNZ - hope your MIL is continuing to improve

Apologies to those I have missed out

Well all you newbies are putting me to shame. As soon as OH said he won't be home next Monday and would be Wednesday or later, I've just gone into slow mo. Must clear all my paid work my Friday night so I can start decluttering especially as some friends may be staying the following weekend and even if they don't there is a family do here a fortnight later. Think writing that down might have just concentrated the mind.
Don't put it down, put it away - thanks Valli

  • oh dear Pigpen hope you cope with mum tomorrow!

mo4 your poor daughter, that eczema sounds awful

re the asthma/eczema 7 year cycle thing
a dr once told me that using suppressive creams on eczema is more likely to bring on asthma, so I've always avoided the steroid ones and just use calming things like camomile

today I've cleaned the kitchen. Tomorrow I'm doing the sitting room!

Really just popped in to say I cleaned the toilet:j Really I did-Ive been trying to get the limescale off since we moved in and I just took a knife to the bowl and scraped (YUCK) at one point I called OH to make sure I wasnt taking off something that was keeping it together:rotfl:

Just wanted to say what an achievement :j I bet you feel great now you've done it. Our toilet is in a bad way, left from previous owners, I have no idea what to put down it, tried bleach, descaley stuff, harpic tablets and value coke...nothing works :( I think I'm gonna have to do the knife thing too _pale_ and like you I'm praying I'm not gonna crack the bowl

Shall save that lovely job for next week, plan to finish the painting tomorrow after I've took my carp down the dump and dropped DD1 to the school for her GCSE results     think I'm more nervous than her. I'm in London by the way and they definately come out here tomorrow.

Good luck MUMOFFOUR, hope you get the results you want :)

Thanks for the warm welcomes today, g'night all :)

DD isnt allowed any more steroid creams....her skin is so thin atm even a light 'rub' breaks it:(....I have her from head to toe in wraps that have been soaked in emiollient so that they dont stick to her eczema!! DD is allergic to lanolin too so a lot of creams make her worse!!

    She will get better

Valli, jeys fluid is the only thing that gets rid of maggots!!Stick a bit of it in your bin tomorrow when its emptied!!!
DS3 and DD have asthma.....its so bad everytime i go into A&E they just hand me the stuff for the nebuliser!!!(they made DS3 wait so long one day he had to be admitted to another hospital 40 miles away!! and the consultant rang them and gave an absolute rollicking to them, as DH was in another hospital, and I was in Dire strates....I didnt know if i was coming or going!!!!

Where do you live? DS suffered badly with asthma when we lived in SA but he's not had an attack since we got here. I have a nebuliser sitting in the hallway cupboard-(I had him on it 3 times a day at one point) would it be of use to you? I know we're not s'possed to share personal details but maybe the mods can help out if need be so we can get it to you.

Im so sorry about Bo poor things really having a tough time:(

Valli Dh did a double take when he went to shower-he says he felt bad using it:rotfl:

DF Both DS and I suffer terribly from Eczema and are constantly doing all sorts of routines to get over it. What you say is interesting as my brother suffered horribly with asthma-never did either of us have both but my DS does (or did) or however you phrase it.

Im off to do my list for tommorow-did everything today except the pc area and the filing. But I have to get to bed early as I have to be at the lady for the printer by 9 and there are gasworks on one end of the bus route and sewarage at the other end:cool:
