Actually that first one is on at £182,950 so more than a 50% drop.

It is only a guide price for the auction though - so we'll have to see what happens on the day.

Since 50% drops are clearly out of the question I'm sure a few of our bulls can head down to the auction and make a killing :money:

Suggesting someone has "zero credibility and zero integrity" isn't an insult in your little world?

Good, then clearly I haven't insulted you. :D

By DD standards that's practically convivial.

You could have a go at following this thread but all DDs posts seem to have mysteriously disappeared from it. I wonder why

Nevertheless, he is quoted a few times so you get an idea of what happens when you really tick him off....

Nope you haven't. You seem to have taken your statement out of context, allow me to add it back in:

"Suggesting someone has "zero credibility and zero integrity if they make sweeping statements but can't be bothered to back them up with fact" isn't an insult in your little world?

There we go, in my 'little world', that's not insulting, that's the truth. People do tend to have zero credibilty if they make statements and refuse to or are unable to back up their words.

However, if you feel that the words 'zero cedibility and zero integrity' even used out of context are really insulting words then I suspect you need to get out more ;)

Actually !!!!!!, I got a lot of PMs offering support. Many of the people who wrote to me were appaled by your constant use of the word 'retard' and 'negro' on that thread. One person said that they thought you were an OK person until they read your posts.

If you recall, I was the one who was saying that those words were offensive and you were the one who was maintaining that they were OK. Are you so idiotic !!!!!!? that you don;t even know when you've made a show of yourself.

No - I recall that you started accusing me of calling the kid a retard even though I did nothing of the sort.

I also recall you making a big deal of the use of the word 'negro' (which you somehow worked into the thread through a load of convoluted nonsense) and I pointed out that Martin Luther King's most famous "I have a dream" speech showed that it was a word in common use and not inherently racist.

I've given the link to the thread a few posts above so anyone so inclined can read it and decide for themselves, but since all your contentious posts disappeared it's kind of hard to follow as the only quotes from you still surviving come in my replies where I quote some of what you said.

Kind of a pattern with you though - I'm not the only person you have gone off on a personal crusade against who has found that the bile-filled posts you made subsequently disappear.

You seem to have forgotten (selectively) what really happened on that thread. Allow me to remind you.

A person posted a photo of a downs syndrome child with a mocking comment. I went mad at them because I thought it was a disgusting joke. You jumped in and said that it was fine and that disabled people are as much 'fair game' for humor as anyone else.

You also said that you refused to allow the 'PC brigade to stop you from using the word "Retard" or any other words in the English language'. I asked you if that also included the word "Negro" and you said that you still used that word too.

Words fail me. Not only were you an idiot on that thread, you have dragged it back up to shame yourself even more.

Over to you, Max Headroom. This is the sort of person you're sticking up for. From the posts I've read you seem to be a decent enough person. I'd therefore think twice before you support someone like !!!!!!? in future...

It is a valid point though, DD. What's with the deleting of posts once you are done with an argument? I looked up the only thread where I have written to you, and sure enough, your posts are missing there as well..

I tend to tidy up after myself. If I've offered information or help to someone and I feel that it'll be of use to someone else, then I leave it. If it's a stupid argument that clogs up a thread (like this latest spat with !!!!!!?) then I delete my posts. If everyone did the same then we'd have less rubbish on the MSE servers and people wouldn't have to wade through all the crap to get to the information.

While it probably be better not to post the argumentative stuff int e first place, you sometimes just get dragged in. Take this thread, for instance I was astonished with the 50% property drops statement and expected it to be backed up with hard evidence that didn't include 'off plan' price drops but were actual private sales where real people had lost 50% of their property values. These weren't forthcoming so !!!!!! dragged me into an argument to disguise the fact that he makes outlandish and empty headline statements.

Rest assured that I'll be removing this spat too. :)

    Excuse me for butting in.

Is this good enough evidence - from an article posted 27/3/08 - and the stats from Halifax and Nationwide indicate prices have dropped further since then.

"In Manchester, a repossessed flat bought for £178,000 in 2004, was recently offered at a London auction with a guide price of just £80,000."

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/main.jhtml?xml=/money/2008/02/21/cmbtl21.xml

I don't know why anyone bothers to argue that prices are not falling when it is crystal clear to anyone who can read what is going on.

Actually I do know, in the majority of cases it's just a wind up.
