er - yep there is (on mine anyway - which came from CPW) .... I've set it to 'Auto-lock the keypad' after 1min of non-activity.

    Menu
    Tools
    Settings
    Security
    Phone & Sim
Set a Lock Code (five Digits) - not be confused with Pin
    then set AUTOLOCK Period
    User Defined
(Put the number in in Minutes)

And then thats Auto-lock activated !!

    Hope that Helps !

    PS - Just had a friend check their's - It's on the standard OS/Menus.

    Cheers.

I have had a 6630 since May/June this year. And i have asked many shops and on many forums and everybody said it was not on there.

However it is a Phone lock rather than a keypad lock. You just have to put the code in 1st.

    Cheers.

    Hi

On mine it works as both .... If you follow the steps detailed it does the following :-

    - If you power up the phone - it will ask for the code "A phone lock"

    - If you don't touch a key on the keypad, after the time of inactivity (eg 1min) - the keypad will "auto lock the keypad" preventing you from accidently pressing a key, it will still receive calls. To use the phone just press UNLOCK (top left button) and then your code !

Also, does anyone know how to stop it from connecting to the internet/3g services, damn annoying because its there on the main menu - how much does that crap cost?

You can change the key assignments to remove three from the navigation buttons and/or you can remove access point settings, if you do this the phone cannot connect.

How ever you will probably be breaking your T & C with 3 as it states your phone must be able to access 3 services.

This is because a mate of my used his sim card in a phone which could not recieve 3 services and got this message from them.

"Your in breach of 5.3&6.4 (a) of terms. Put sim into Handset enabled for 3 services immediately or your Services will be suspended"

I think that is a LOT different

5.3 Each SIM may only be used in Handsets which are
enabled for 3 Services and are authorised by us for
Connection to the 3 network. Any attempt to use the
SIM in other Handsets may result in serious damage to
the Handset and may prevent you from being able to
use it, including the making of emergency calls. In
these instances, we are not responsible for any such
    damage or usage problems.

    And:

6.4 You may only use 3 Services:
    (a) as laid out in this agreement (including the User
    Guide); and
    (b) for your own personal use. This means you must
not resell or commercially exploit any of the 3 Services
    or content.

Removing optional settings from your phone is not the same as putting the SIM in another phone altogether. Internet access is optional, you are still connected for voice and SMS services. Apart from anything else, how could 3 ever know you removed the access point information?

Received my phone today but not a receipt in the post yet.

Has everybody received their receipt OK through the post ?

I note we have to send a copy of the receipt with every redemption coupon, so I hope I get one !

    Thanks
