So Strumps when is your birthday? We need to know so that we can arrange a surprise.
As you can guess I am a little nissed off with OH clearing off skiing, only I discovered yesterday that they are having the wrong kind of snow so the resort is closed:rotfl: Val d'Isere had a metre of snow and it was still snowing hard yesterday and Tignes (where he is staying) only had 2 lifts open, one to the beginners slopes and one drag lift which was dangerous to use because of the high winds and poor visibility - they are also having the wrong kind of snow:rotfl: (Tignes is next door to Val d'Isere say about 6 miles down the road). Now I know I shouldn't laugh but I just can't help it.
As your OH is a funny shape, why didn't you buy two sets of jimjams one medium and one large and then mixed and matched them? Just a thought. From the sound of it he sounds delish (as my mate Glyn would say) - he is shaped like a toblerone (tiny waist and big shoulders) yum:D
Well best dash as I am going out with my mate Jean in a while - her partner Sue can't make lunch so we are off out together. Being skint, I have given them a lovely present: 4 large M&S mugs (picked up for £2 in the charity shop) these are brand new. I apron (free in M&S because I bought 2 gastropub meals, 1 packet of Dr Oetker chocolate chips - about 67p. I have also printed out a recipe found on Special Occasions for 5 Minute Chocolate Mug Cake. All neatly packaged in a nice glittery box that I found in my collection. It looks really expensive and I hope they like it.
I had another £2 coin today too:j0 -
Strumpet - you could always buy the pair to match the chest size and then just take in the waist of the trousers!
Horace - enjoy your lunch.Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -

Well instead of jimjams just get him an oversized t-shirt that he can wear as a nightie:eek:
Lunch was fab - we picked up some vouchers when we were there too - one was for a free meal (buy 2 get one free) and another was for buy 2 meals and get a fiver off the bill - these will come in handy in the new year:j I think I ate too much I am feeling a tad queasy - bangers n mash with some extra veggies, apple and roobarb crumble with custard, pot of tea, and to drink with the meal lemonade and lime and my mate had sparkling spring water. I then went with her to PC World and then she dropped me back home.
Had best go, I am visions of a toblerone wearing a nightie:eek:0 -
You're all MAD AS HATTERS you lot!
I think OH will be OK with the medium, and if his pants keep falling down......what can I say?
I'm off to Marks & Spennies this lunch time to spend the £35 of vouchers I have. I shall be buying a pair of slippers for OH as he keeps nicking mine.
I never seem to be able to find them and then when I do, they always seem to be on his feet! This will be present 4 of 4!
Well, there's a payroll to be run so I'm off to do that! Can't have people not being paid so close to Christmas!

Hi Strumpet - you didn't answer the most important question of all - when is your birthday? We will have to have a "virtual" party.:beer:Debt free and Keeping on Track0

Just wanted to share with you what I think is a brilliant idea! I bought DH a lobster today for £1.90. Well its actually sponsor a lobster and you can name it as well. Then it is released back into the wild. Got it from the National Lobster Hatchery in Cornwall - you can just google it to get the website. I just thought it was something a bit different. They send you a certificate with your name on it and the name of your lobster!
Does your OH like lobsters Strumpet?
When I told DS he said "can we eat it":eek:Debt free and Keeping on Track0 -
MrsP - sure your DS can eat Lobster - you can buy them in Lidl for £4.99:eek:
I notice that Strumps is being very coy about his birthday have no idea why it isn't as though he is 100 or even 50:eek:
I had a strange day, mainly a long wait in the eye hospital - my appointment was at 10 and I waited until midday to be seen:rolleyes: my eye pressures have increased my right eye to 12 (it hasn't been in double figures since 2004:eek: ) and my left eye is 8. My cataract op has been postponed, they will talk about it again next year - I am not looking forward to it because my pupil has stuck to the lens which means all sorts of icky things happening - I have opted to be fast asleep whilst they fiddle about.
Had to laugh today, my OH sent me a text message whilst I was on the bus going into town - he is on a skiing holiday in Tignes and they are snowed in for the 4th day with no respite in sight, all pistes are closed and they have had over a metre of snow fall since Sunday:eek: Guess they have the wrong kind of snow just like us:rotfl:
Ooooh, I achieved something today too - I paid off my 0% balance transfer card in full (I made a late payment purely by accident so they whacked on a load of interest - my own fault) well, my solicitor sent me some money and I have used it to pay of said card to the tune of £4236.95:j I have two other credit cards but they only have small amounts on them which are a lot more manageable.
Hope the payroll run went OK Strumps and that you bought some slippers for OH.0 -
Horace - fantastic news about your credit card! Well done for paying it off and not "going mad" with the money (which is what I would have done in the old, old days - but not any more).
Come on Strumpet - when's your birthday?Debt free and Keeping on Track0
