    Morning all!

Starting again with all my attempts to reign in my spending. It all got out of hand over the weekend - I'm so weak-willed! So now I must really make the effort to get it all back under control.

Starting by banking some cash from my coin-sorter today. Just added it up and it's come to 91.00 which I ought to pay off the mortgage. But probably will need to get me through September!

Where is everyone? Am I to take it that now all the biscuits have been eaten, you've all gone to find biscuits elsewhere? SNIFF!! SNIFF!!

Well my total for making 155.00 in August finally came in at 87.00 which isn't bad I suppose. My spends for August were far too much - Ms Oyl has told me off already about this! I will try harder in September. By then I will have had two months of recording all my spend and so will be able to fill in my SOA more accurately. Keep getting stuck on the groceries / clothes / entertainment / presents bits as don't actually know tha answer to my spending in these areas.

Well I'm off to Lundy Island with OH tomorrow so will catch up with you all next Wednesday.

My DD house shares in Leeds, and on Day 1 these 6 lovely young girls turned up with 4 George Formby Grills between them :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's obviously the trendiest of kitchen gadgets :D

Haven't taken it out of the box yet - can't decide whether to keep it or use it as a Christmas present. Do I actually need it?:rotfl:

It's good to see you again Strumpet. £87 is money you didn't have so well done you!

If you're not sure about using the grill, you could sell it and add to your extra money for next month, or it's extra in the kitty for biscuits for your friends!!

DD then bought a japanese style table grill plate thingy (do you understand what I'm trying to say?) from Lidl for £15.
As far as I can see it does low fat cooking too.

I'd take it back if I were you. It's just something else to clutter up the cupboards.

Have a lovely [STRIKE]dirty[/STRIKE] romantic weekend, sounds delightful. Isn't that where the puffins are?

It will be when WE get there :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Sorry - yes it is, although their population has been decimated by black rats in recent years. When we went there in 2006 there were rabbits everywhere. In 2007 when we went, there were none. All victims of mixy! Very sad. Hoping they'll have recovered this year.
Also hoping not to catch Lundy Lurgy this year too - last year, our party was part of the 58 victims of an outbreak of tummy bugs which eventually closed the island whilst they disinfected eveything!!!

Been looking forward to this holiday for 12 months. Our first holiday together in 7 years.;)
