Try adding Soda Crystals to your washing powder or use that Pink stuff for either whites or colours. The pink stuff worked on DD polo shirts which had an off white tinge in the arm pits. I just added a scoop to the wash and they came out brill.

oh what, you mean Vanish?
That's quite expensive - are there any cheaper alternatives?
I've tried using a topical stain remover, and I've tried soaking...0 -
have you tried bicarb with water onto the shirt a few minutes before washing. it works with overalls lolslowly going nuts at the world:T0

Tesco's version is just as good and the one for white was 1/2 price a week or so ago. It lasts forever though as you only use one scoop. I find it brill as OH has white work shirts and DD school uniform is white blouses and polos in the summer. It keeps them white without having to put them on a hot wash.

Vanish is on offer in Tesco at the Mo it's usually £7 odd for a big tub but it's about £5 - I think it's well worth it. I have tried Tesco own brand but it doesn't work as well as the Vanish so grab some while it's on offer. Think they also had the smaller Vanish tub on offer for about £30

Borax
Buy it from Boots (or another chemist). Mix to a paste (with water) and spread it over the affected area. Leave it for half an hour and then soak the whole thing in warm water - the longer the better.
Then launder in the usual way.
You might need to do this two or three times to remove the current stain, but after that, just the paste treatment followed by the usual laundering should do it.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
Apparently, rubbing deodorant stains on fabric with a rolled-up pair of old tights works like magic. I haven't tried it myself, but have been told that it's the perfect solution.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Could make hubby wear a jumper until shirts need replacing but not sure he'd cooperate.
I've already thrown three out, then when I realised they're all like it I thought hang on this will cost a fortune to replace them all!!!
hayulp!
I find spraying underarm deodrant amrks with white vinegar before the wash does the trick! Always gets the stains out first time! :T0 -
Hi lovethymini,
There's an existing thread with lots of tips for getting rid of deodorant stains that should help too so I've added your thread to it to keep the suggestions together.
This thread may help too:
