  • Just rang my local Coop in Walsall

Nice lady said by all means apply but I know her so rang her on her mobile

Seems since Wednesday Coop are taking a more tougher stance to Cashminder applicants but she said apply anyway and that the Coop prides itself on its ethical standing and hope I got throughthe app process.

Is this door for BRs getting a basic decent bank acct closing and is it going to be the first of many things happening in this credit crunch clime I hope not..

I know Im guilty of mismanaging my financial doings, nobody more than I regrets that now with hindsight but is there likley to be a swing to the negative about bankrupts in general when the countrys financial situation is so bad..after all we have gone bankrupt is our fresh starts going to be dogged with having to fight for the right to be taken seriously financially again hope not

I know sometimes you feel so helpless/you cant go on/so isolated, well you need never feel that way again as a simple Can you help me please? on here is your first step to that journey of fresh starts, so hello Im Anne, your ? YOU ARE NOT ALONE in all of this, we have all been there, so come join us.
  • I remember reading on this forum something about the Yorkshire bank offering some BRs a basic account. I'm not very good at finding things, sorry, can anyone remember what the particulars are?

Does anyone know if the h/b cheques are cashable at the Post Office? I begged the Pensions people not to pay my pension into my old LLoyds account, but my Co-op wasn't yet properly set up, so they sent me cheques for 4 weeks until I took out a PO account.

Who are the benefit offices bankers? Is it possible to find that out? Not sure how but would it not be public knowledge somewhere? If so, the bank in question would be the best bet for cashing the cheque.

Just some ramblings, don't knowif they are any help 08, but thinking of you, and give it all another go on Monday, and let us know.

I understand that the Co-op are not accepting cashminder applications from people who owe them money upon going BR.
