It was in Babies R Us (within Toys R Us). Yes I agree, the only thing that lets it down is the fact that we cannot get a car seat base for it. If it did it would be absolutely perfect!

I did ask if the Creatis base could be used with it, but apparently it can't.

The lady showed us how to fit it in the car and she did it in seconds so hopefully we will get used to it eventually with practice. .
  • That's alright then if it looks like it won't be too much of a hassle. I'm sure after you've tried it a few times it will be well easy.

Ideally I wanted an isofix base and seat as my car has the isofix points but none of the pushchairs/systems seemed to fit the other stipulations had so I reckoned the base with the creatis was a good compromise and if it makes like easier for me then that's a bonus ;)
  • just wanted to thank you for all the research you have done. i have an aygo and baby is due in oct and i was worrying so much about having to change the car. i even eneded up in a show room looking around after deciding i just couldn't afford it.

i will most likely go with the loola, or buzz.

    thanks again x:beer:

Glad that it's helped you. I saw a Streety yesterday (was at a safari park , don't ask...) and a few loolas and I think I still like the look of the loola better, looks a bit more sturdy.

I don't think that having a baby should mean we all have to run out and have to get a people carrier ;) (I'd have trouble parking one!)

    Cheers :D

I'm getting the Loola Up (We have a 3 door Yaris and it was the only 1 we liked that'll fit in the boot!). But we're getting the Maxi Cosi car seat to go with it - and then we're getting the Isofix base to go with that!! The Maxi Cosi is a better car seat than the Creatis and has padding under the babies butt, which means they're at less of an angle, which is recommended for little ones, then you take the padding out when they're a bit older.

To make the systems work together you just need adapters - these are about £10 from Kiddicare.com (% off thru' Quidco) we tested this when we visited the store and its a 2 second job to fix and use them. At the moment the Loola Up, Maxi Cosi and Isofix (called Easyfix) are all on offer at Boots.com, so cheaper than Kiddicare. Easyfix base is out of stock, but apparently new ones are due around the 29/8.

hth! I spent so long stressing about pushchairs and was really relieved to find an option that 'worked' for us.
  • Hi leeloo1, glad to hear someone else is doing the same thing ;)

Just to be clear, are you saying that it is possible to get adaptors that mean a maxi cosi car seat can fix onto a Loola Up chassis? I didn't know that was possible??? Good to know if you can though, thanks.
Where did you try it out?
  • Ok, being less lazy I have just checked it out for myself and it is true, woohoo!!! Such a good idea to have these available as I did want to get the maxi cosi as is meant to be the best or one of the best car seats.

Also my friend who had her baby in June has the seat and the isofix base and judging by when we want to try and have a baby I might suggest buying hers from her (if she doesn't want to keep a hold of it) as you can only use it up to ~12 months if the website info is correct (and my friend's baby is quite big so maybe less in her case??).
  • Hi

I needed a pram that would fit in my Citroen C1, and was really geeky and wrote all the dimensions, so thought I would post it here in case it helped any one.

Here were my final 3 that I thought would fit (but haven't checked yet) I think my C1 boot is about 100cm x 25cm and 40cm deep ish!

    • Maclaren Quest 104x25x27cm SF3 months
    • Quinny Zapp 70x25x29cm (can be used from birth if used with a maxi cosi, otherwise from 3months
    • Bebe confort Loola/ loola up 92x26x30 SFB

(I decided we are going to go for the Bebe confort Loola, as it allows baby to lay back, and pram can face you or face away from you.)

    Others (I thought wouldn't fit in a C1?:

    • Petite Star Zia 75x34x36 cm SFB
    • Mother Care Buggster 104x39x42cm SF6months
    • Mama & Papa Luna 78x22x61 SFB
    • Out N about nipper 81x28x81
    • Bebe confort streety 84x30.5x33cm SFB
    • Quinny Buzz 80x31x67cm SFB
    • Bugaboo Bee 88x31x43cm SFB
    • Maclaren XT 107x35x38 cm SFB
    • Cosatto cabi 108x29x59cm

    SFB = suitable from birth

obviously you would have to double check yourself

    Lou x
  • I have the opposite problem: I own a Petite Star City Bug and am looking to buy a C1. I was wondering it would fit, but seeing as its folded dimensions are 86.5 x 55 x 48cm, I think it won't. :(

We have a Yaris and it fits fine, but it seems the C1 boot is half the size of the Yaris. Still, I'm going back to the dealer this week (last time we didn't have the pram with us) and asking if I can try putting the pram in. If it fits, it's another one for the list!
  • I realise the original posts on this thread are quite old, but for the benefit of others searching the forum, thought I'd add my experience...

I have a C1 (same as the 107) and the boot really is teeny. I also did the geeky spreadsheet thing & ended up going for the Maclaren Quest as my main pushchair (my LO was 11 months old at the point of getting the new car).

The Quest fits perfectly in the boot, without the need to remove / raise the parcel shelf and you can put shopping etc on top. However I am now changing to a Zapp to increase my boot space further now that my LO is 18 months old.

I also wanted to add that being a bit of a pushchair-addict, I have had several other big pushchairs in the car. The two biggest were the Mamas & Papas Pliko Pramette and the Hauck i'coo Platon all terrain.

The M&P Pliko was the hardest to fit & would only squeeze in the footwells behind the driver & passenger seats and was quite a tight fit - this is due to the way it folds and despite the umbrella style fold making it narrow, it is really long.

The Hauck i'Coo is massive, but because it comes apart (like many similar) I was able to fit it in. You remove the wheels (stick in the footwell behind driver seat), remove seat unit & place in footwell behind passenger seat, and then the frame will fit in the boot with the parcel shelf raised. Not ideal for convenience but it does work, and if that type fits, I can only imagine that there would be no issues with similar large pushchairs that come apart!

    Hope this helps someone...
