Is the 107 the only family car, or does your OH have one too which is a bit bigger? If it would always be just you and baby in the little car, an umbrella fold pushchair would surely fit across the back seat, and baby could sit in the front seat in a suitable car seat so long as any passenger side airbag was turned off.
  • We only have the wee car, nothing else so will need the front seat most of the time :D
I have been looking at lots of pushchairs on the web today and thought I wanted a bugaboo bee, however since found reviews that said it didn't last as long as stated and would be too small for an average sized child much past 18 months so for all that cash I don't think it is a good buy in the end so looks like the Bebe confort streety is the main contender. As I now know that people have fitted a Buzz (without seat) into the boot I can work out that the Streety will fit well (84x31x35cm or so folded, and can go about 4 cm thinner if you remove the seat too). Unfortuantely the car seat you seem to have to buy it wil is not isofix so will have to buy a separate one of those (maxi cosi) but seems really good otherwise and can attach a cot if you want (but think it lies flat so might not need it) and also you can have it front or rear facing. So for now that is the one on my wish list I think.

I was considering the Luna as well but not too sure if it will fit ok based on the dimensions- but then I thought that about the Buzz and that seems to work!

However if anyone has any more suggestions they will be welcome.
  • Have now changed my mind again- think the Bebe loola will be better, folded dimensions are approx the same as streety but the car seat that firs it is better as can be attached to a base (although not isofix) and seems to be good for safety according to reviews I've found. Bit more costly than the streety but think it will be better for the car seat.

Just to add...I know a couple of people that have had terrible problems with the Luna. I have to say that it was the one that I fancied going for until my goddaughter nearly fell out of one because the straps became loose!!! M&P customer service was terrible regarding the whole incident but eventually they did refund my friend. It looks lovely but that incident and another friend's opinion did put me off.

Oh, and I did get my bugaboo bee off ebay with car seat and baby nest for 400quid. Expensive I know but as it's essentially a stroller the idea is that it's going to last us for about 4 years :-)

It wasn't the luna I had. It was a basic buggy that cost around £80 but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Perhaps they've stopped selling them. It lasted well as I bought it a few years ago for my older son.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.
  • I wouldn't get a luna. My next door neighbour is in dispute with M&P as their baby fell out of the luna head first in a supermarket and really hurt his little head. There is a SERIOUS design fault with the pushchair and the straps, which are only secured at waist level.

Well crazy person that I am I went to Mothercare today and now know that the Bebe Confort Loola will fit in the boot, folded down with the seat removed, then squash seat on top and the boot shuts fine- may even have small amount of room for things on top ;)
However think the newer Loola Up might be better option, chassis is even a bit smaller and multiple Mothercare staff members said that they prefer it and some of them actually had it as their pushchair/system. Checked ebay and can get it much cheaper than in Mothercare (£260 vs £189 on ebay) so I think we have found a winner.

Saw the bugaboo bee today as well and it is so cute, but don't think it would last as long for the money and it didn't seem to go as flat in the recline imo (but I would still have one :p ).

Also thinking about the petite star zia as a buggy to leave at my parents house in Scotland for visits- mainly because I like the look of it too  ....I can see me becoming a pushchair cleptomaniac here- just need a baby to put in one now:rotfl:

Thanks everyone for your help I am very happy that wee car gets to stay!

Lizziebell, just to let you know I tried out the Bebeconfort Streety yesterday. It was really nice and light, easy to push and everything slotted into place easily (car seat and reversible seat). I think I am going to go for this one and it fits easily in my tiny Ka boot. Good luck in your search!

Thanks Osian. The Streety wasn't in the mothercare I was at, where did you find one to try out? It would still be a contender to fir in my car I reckon but the only thing that would push me towards the Loola is the fact that the car seat that clips onto the chassis (Creatis) can be fitted to a base that fits into the car and stays there so you only have to clip the seat on and off instead of having to make sure you re-install it correctly using the seat belt everytime (which appeals to me as seeing the mothercare bloke do it, it looked to be a bit fiddly and it was raining so having an easier way seems better to me ;)). Glad you have found one to suit your wee boot :D
    Cheers :T
