:jI have so far made 2 x rapid bake loaf and one egg enriched white loaf in my new kenwood 450bm. Awesome! I can see what you all mean when you say that you can't eat shop bought bread now. Going home to make jam tonight. If any of you gals have good recipes to pass on which you have tried and tested, I would be very grateful :):D
    hi skyelark,
glad you're enjoying your BM :)

I replied to you earlier over here <--- clicky

I made the egg enriched bread & forgot to put the salt in, it tried to escape from the machine, it was like something out of a horror movie :rotfl:

  • Hi

I have a lovely Panasonic SD255. Make bread often (althought not as often as I should). Anyway, decided today to make Malt Loaf. Only had less than recipe demanded of sultanas, but went ahead anyway. Got so carried away trying to find enough sultanas that I threw them in with the mixture. And then I remembered about the sultana holder

I know I'll have the answer in 4 hours - but I was wondering, in the meantime, if anyone else has ever done this and is it going to be a disaster?

I'll post what happens in any case as I searched and couldn't find this particular problem so it might help someone in future!

Shouldn't be a problem. I've put things straight in even though they should have been added later. I don't think it makes any difference.
  • Thanks Hansi. I'll stop worrying for a bit then and hope it's all OK!

Updated report on the malt loaf: All looks fine! Smells lovely* - although doesn't look much like the Soreen one. However, was prepared for that as I'd looked up Malt Loaf on the Malt Loaf thread.

*Edited to say: I can also vouch that it tastes nice - although nothing like Soreen. A bit more like the fruit tea bread they do at Starbucks

Oh I remember that feeling - first panny, first loaf, so exciting. Be warned that it doesn't wear off, I still feel like that after a year of using it :D.
