Hi all.
I am almost winning my battle against gambling. Mainly as I have a PC gambling block, if that didnt stop me I am sure I would have bet away hundreds (thousands) on BlackJack in the past few months.
I had a set back, last week, when using a family members computer that was not protected. I found myself opening a casino account at betting £50 in 5 min. I am amazed, I did it without even thinkng, it was automatic, as though I was watching myself do it.
This adiction is sooooo strong, i feel pathetic and totaly at its mercy. Thankfully online casinos are my weakness and given that I have excluded myself from most sites and installed a block I feel protected from myself.
After looking through some of the 'Debt free wannabe' threads I am amazed at the amount of people in debt due to gambling. It seems to be a problem that is getting bigger.
Anyway, I hope you are all resisting the temptation to gamble. Also, thanks everyone for your posts. Regardless of weather you are giving or reciving advice, it is great boost for me to read all of your experiences.

Hi all, been 319 days since my last bet. Snowballed my debts and really working at getting them down. Working like a bloody trojan trying to get them sorted. This will be a big year for me. Have until April 2012 to reduce the cards down to about 5K if I can. Always looking to make a few pennies here and there. Can't believe it's almost been a year since my LBM and getting on the wagon. Hope everyone here is well and doing all they need to do to stay clean. Thank you all for the support you have given and continue to give.0

Hi all - it's been a while...
Not much to report here - no longer tempted anywhere near as much and i can just turn off when those stupid ads appear on the TV for betting sites rather than just squirm.
No longer have credit card debt, so that's a plus. Still owe folks money and the remainder of a loan but plodding along nicely in that area.
Keep fighting it people. It's the only thing you really want to win. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

Well done George, you really must let me into the secret of payuing soooooooo much off so quick!
Will be clean for 1 year in exactly 31 days!
Never thought I would make it this far. Still a long way to go but I am keeping my "sane" head on at all times.

hi all. Overall I am keeping on the straight and narrow. Though I had a slip up the otherday. I saw there was a new casino site on the cashback site Quidco. I opened an account on a different computer. I intended on just depositing £10 to get £30 cashback, but I lost the £10 on blackjack, so deposited £15, then £15 more then another £15 then £20... All lost.
What an idiot. I should know by now, I can't manage gambling. Anything I win I will turn over till the casino eats it up.
Still, just one slip up, I was doing that every day this time last year. Now I just feel very guilty.
I thank the heavens I have a gambling block on my personal laptop. Otherwise every penny I have would be eaten up. I would have nothing.

Its hard Jimby, The temptation seems to be everywhere at times.
Im a member of the make £10 a day challenge on here, quite a few of the other members make their cash on free bingo, match betting, and signing up to deals via cash back sites.
Obviously they are over the moon when they find these new freebies ect, but its difficult for me to read, i know i dont have the resolve to just play freebies, and it took me a long time and a lot of wasted cash, and then the guilt before i realised once i start i cant stop.
It good that you have the blocks on your on pc, i remember you saying before that the last time you slipped up was on a friends PC, How does this situation arise? How can you avoid it happening again?Everyday im shufflin' Proud Padder ~ All Hail The Power of Pad0
