I totally agree, as even choosing which road to cross could be deemed as a gamble. Still, I also understand the persons position on this. Thats why I asked others opinion on the comps question. I know that some recovering gamblers consider even free comps as a no-no.

    Hi Jizer,

I cant offer any helpful advice on your question i'm afraid. However, if you post the question on the debt free wannabe board i'm sure someone can assist. Well done on going to second meeting :)
You could always ask someone there, they may have been in the same situation or similar

bad few days last week (without gambling) got smashed, stayed out, lots of tears, its getting messy.

getting keys for new place on thursday, going to be skint but not tempted to gamble.

hopefully dealing with debts over the next few weeks offering creditors full and final settlements.

determined not to go back to gambling to give my children the best future.

apologies for not speaking to newcomers (welcome though) going through a bit of a hell at the moment and trying to focus on the things i need to

    stay strong everyone

    Hi Riq,

good to hear you are staying away from the gambling at what must be a nightmare time.
Try to remember things will only get worse if you gamble. You've come so far and things will eventually get better.

Hope the new place gives you some inner peace even if it skints you for now. Good luck with offering the full and final settlements. It will feel good to be rid of some debt.

Keep posting, you know we are all here to support you xx

    thanks everyone.

been stressed so much trying to get the new house sorted, finally got my sons room done out it looks great. unfortunately my daughters bed and my mattress hasnt arrive, were supposed to be here monday.

telling the kids tomorrow but trying to make it fun as if its going to be really cool that they will have 2 houses to live in and have sleep overs. dreading telling them so much, feel so protective of them and the thought of them being upset and missing me hurts so much. one day i will also tell them about gambling and how it affected my relationship with their mother, but thats way off,

havent had time to even think about gambling, got a pal coming up from london to stay for a few days, and got the kids staying friday nights and a couple of nights next week. we're also going to have sunday lunch as a family which will be nice.

i feel angry with myself, feel hurt and pain and there;s more likely to come.

sorry folks for being miserable on here lately

    stay strong though
