Well done Riquelme, you're doing so well.
Superstar, it's really good that you're thinking ahead and putting things in place to minimise the potential for gambling.
My OH/carer/whatever he is is back on Saturday. Before he went away he'd started gambling again, but mainly it's because I want to be in control of my life completely. I just don't want other people interfering. Anyway I'll deal with it all.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
Riquel. That's fantastic news. Amost a year. Maybe you could tell us all how your life has improved to inspire some of the newbies on the thread?
Ames, just concentrate on you hon. I hope being on this thread is helping you in some way. If only to see that it can be dealt with if the gambler really wants to stop. xLast bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
I have momevent on my debts - just a little excited so thought I would post it up.
I have managed to negotiate payment plans on one of my payday loans and the interest stopped at where it is....Total Debt including family & friend £35550 - April 09
In order of importance:
Payday Loans - £5000 / Moneyshop - £2300 / CC - £3300 / Overdrafts - £4350 / HSBCLoan - £2700 / Loans from Family & Friends - £17900

That's brilliant, especially since a Payday loan will have hideous interest!Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

good work superstar. get onto the others and try and negotiate with them also.
also worth popping over to the debt free wannabee thread for some more practical advice.
remember 1 day at a time, you cant sort it all out in 1 day. dont gamble and things will start getting better. keep it up fella0 -
Well done superstar now you can concentrate on paying a bit more off one of the others.0

Superstar, well done, it sounds like things are really coming together for you.
I've decided to throw Oh (now ex) out. He hasn't been gambling, but I just think it's come to the end. He's moving out early next week, and it's managed to be amicable. So now I'm starting a new chapter in my life, although I'm having to sort out lots of stuff to make sure I get the care I need.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
HI Ames,
Thats a brave decision. But shows you ar emoving on.It's good news that Ex hasnt gambled but if the relationship has run its course it's wise to move on with your life.
Good luck x
well done superstar. Hopefully by not gambling you have a clearer head to assist in sorting your debt out. Things do get better. xxLast bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0
