Thanks guys! I always go for my bath the minute i'm in the door! I like to get it out the way!

I think a hobby like crochet is just the thing i need.

But you talk about a bath as a chore when you say 'get it out of the way'. Look on it as a pleasruable experience. Bubbles, scent
candles if you wish and relax.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • Definately reccomend crochet or knitting. Both can be a bit tear-your-hair-out while you get used to holding the yarn/needles/instructions at the same time while screaming WHAAATTTT!! DON'T UNDERSTAND!! HOW MANY STITCHES SHOULD THERE BE?!?!

But you soon get into it :D

    Or was that just me?

Love love love it now and can't go more than a few days without a bit of needly or hooky action :)

I'd recommend having a choice of a few things to do - if you only have (for instance) crochet, there'll come an evening when you thing "AAARRRGGGHHH I do NOT want to crochet tonight".

I don't actually go out to work (retired on medical grounds) but I still have a hard time relaxing - personal favourites:
    • PC and console gaming (not everyone's cup of tea - I'm something of a geek!):D
    • Telegraph crossword
    • Cross stitch
    • Knitting (when the arthritic fingers allow)
    • Painting miniature figures for table-top Dungeon & Dragons games
Oh, and I agree TV doesn't cut it - I can go months at a time without watching TV!
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

  • You need to have a relaxing bath, bubbles, scented candles, music and totally relax.
Then read a book or a magazine, bake a cake, knit, crochet, write a short story, do a crossword puzzle, sudoku, write a letter to someone you hardly see, but love, like a mum or dad or an aunt, do some embroidery, sew a new cushion cover, paint your nails, give yourself a face mask, nourish your skin from toe to neck with shea butter or something else you like, email a friend, enter a competition, try a new recipe...just listen to your favourite music...

    I'm tired now....

;) Felines are my favourite ;)

I don't really like our bathroom!! It's not very inviting:o I have bubbles and i do relax but i don't really like spending time in the bathroom.

I can work very long hours, however I avoid working at home as much as possible, even if it means long hours in the office. I need that differentiation of space... (though I do just check my emails and will answer my phone at home).

I have just started knitting again after 20 years and really enjoy it. in fact I have to limit my time knitting otherwise I wouldn't get anything else done. I am also looking to take up quilting. What about proper cooking/ baking?

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

There you go! what a project............redesign the bathroom! look on net, buy or borrow a couple of home decorating mags then choose your colour, your scheme, and go about it a professional way. make up a large board of pics of fave bathroom looks - some paint samples of the colours you like - even pics of accessories. then work out how to do it on a strict budget (sorry, I am assuming you are on a strict budget).

this could be fun, and will take your mind off work.

I strongly suggest that you actually get work out of the way - then go for your bath, then do your chosen activity! be it my suggestion or the excellent ones of learning knitting or crochet or cross stitch perhaps - there are some lovely kits out there and not all of them are expensive!
