I actually like going out in the evenings. We go to local pubs that have Open Mic or Unplugged nights with local musicians all for the price of a pint or orange juice or whatever. Sit in the warm and dry with others and make friends every time.0

I love going being outside whatever the weather and OH and I enjoy hiking and cycling and OH says there isnt bad weather just the wrong clothes. So we still do a lot of the same things as we do in the summer but our picnics are enjoyed in the car and include flasks of HM soups, cakes and hot chocolate.
I also love duvet days with a good book or taking evening walks and seeing all the christmas lights during the festive season.0 -
If I'm happy and occupied inside I dont mind the weather outside! So I'm starting a new hobby (crochet) and laying in a stack of books0

Buying a magazine isn't really Old Style.
As you weren't happy with the thread that zippy suggested and your thread has dropped down the Old Style board I've added it to the Old Style pastimes thread to see if you can find more ideas there.

I make model aircraft & find I can spend hours in a day working on one before I know it half the day's gone! On average I'll spend between £10-£30 on a kit & accessories but I could go down the pub & spend twice that.
For example,I've just finished the model below & it came second in a competition.I think all told,it took me about 3 weeks on & off over a period of several weeks to finish.0
