  • Hi Scaredy Cat

Have you submitted a "Recording Sample" - when I did I was able to self-select the car call centre 'phone jobs, though you are only allowed 2 at a time. For the "Recording Sample" you need to record a voice sample on your computer and send it to Bare. The instructions are straightforward and I purchased a cheap (about £3) headset/microphone to record the sample.
The 'phone jobs are also very straighforward.

Thanks for that - no, I haven't, and I wouldn't know where to start, I am not very technical! To be honest, although this is simple to you, it sounds rather complicated to me and if they are going to make it this difficult then I guess I'll stick with the other companies who don't make it so hard to work for them! Thanks for the info, though.
  • Ooh, i'm cross! I just spent a while submitting an application to another MS company only for a message to come up at the end to say that they currently have no vacancies in my area. Why couldn't they have asked what area I was applying for at the beginning and told me straight away?
It said at the beginning that they were loking for MSers in a list of areas - and where i live was near to one of them. *Sigh*

Anyone else having trouble putting comments in RE reports? I can tick boxes but not comment even when I should...

I am having that problem too  I can type my comment out, then it deletes it, then I can type one character and nothing more!

Report due in 24 hours too!
  • Noctu - I've emailed them and told them there's an issue. My report was due yesterday - I have another job for them today as well.

I expect it will get sorted out on Monday.

  • Is anyone around who has done pub meal jobs for TNS please? I'm getting a bit concerned - have a job for Thursday and still no notes.

Does the reimbursement usually cover the amount you are required to spend? The thing is, if I am going to have to order 3 courses, for example, and it costs more than the reimbursement, then I'd rather not do the job. I've already emailed once to ask about the notes and I don't really want to make a nuisance of myself so thought I'd ask here first.

I'm really puzzled with the way Bare work. I have applied for a few jobs in the past and they have remained 'pending' until way after the due date. I almost gave up on them, but then thought I'd try again when the latest round of telephone jobs came up. I applied for about 6, and have just checked, now there are only 3 'pending', the others have vanished without a trace - not been allocated to me, just gone.

I wanted a simple job first to see how they work but seems they won't let me - just keep emailing me (and everyone else) to do car dealerships that I don't really want to do. What's the secret to breaking through the Bare barrier? Or should I just give up on them completely?

I just gave up on them. I did all the tests and stuff, and kept reading emails and then putting jobs in the pending list, and then they would just vanish into thin air, presumably assigned to someone else. Did it for a few months, then decided it was a pointless waste of time if they were not actually going to give me any work, so I deactivated myself.
Here I go again on my own....

I have one booked for Thursday as well but no notes received yet. I wouldn't worry as previously the reimbursement has been enough to cover a main course and dessert for two, with no requirement to purchase starters. As a vegetarian you just need to avoid the 'sizzling' ones.

I have done loads of these, and the reimbursement has always been enough. When the reimbursement is NOT enough, the job notes normally say something like 'please note that the reimbursement is supposed to be towards the meal, not necessarily to cover it'. Cheeky gits. That has so far applied only to better class restaurants, though, not to cheap pubs! In pubs you normally find you have enough left over for an extra drink, IMHO. :)

    Hello all

The answer to this question may already be in this thread already but there are too many posts for me to trawl through!

I used to ms for TNS when they used to work out your tax etc but got too busy when I got a new job. I've got my first ms for ages next week, a pub drink for TNS, and wondered if you have to get a receipt for the drink for when you work out your tax etc?

I'm just thinking that I'll look a bit sus asking for a receipt for a pint late on a Friday night?

    Cheers

I've just managed to get them done - I had to write out the comment in Notepad, copy it, then paste it into the comment box. It seemed to work but was quite tedious!
