The Mystery Shopping thread - part 5

I don't blame you for giving up on them Becles. I saw that job and I thought the fee wasn't worth me travelling for - now I know it wasn't. I think if companies expect you to dress a certain way they should pay a bit more because otherwise you're whipping off clothes left right and centre... (hmmm maybe there's money in that somewhere...)
Hope you get some satisfaction with this at some point. I still think it is totally disgraceful.Gala bingo wins £70!!! mystery shopping earnings: £0
MutualPoints 2898 STP £20.50 Tesco clubcard points £950 for summer 09!0 -
I went clothes shopping today, somewhere I do not MS, and the staff were chatting and ignoring me when I wanted help (I couldn't find my size on the shop floor), and it was so bad, I said, "You're lucky I'm not a mystery shopper" and then jsut walked out. I'll buy online...their little faces dropped...too late if I had been a MS'er!!0

And Becles, too right....don't shop there!! I was also offered this and was glad I didn't take it now I have read your report...but before sacking them off, do take it to the small claims court; it is the principle more than anything. I regret letting Gap get away with not paying me so many times.0

Corporate Research International have just emailed to say they have campaigns starting throughout the UK, possibly as early as 1st. October, and to email people I think may be interested in signing up with them, as they need lots more people! I'm sure others have had this email too.
They were one of the first I registered with at the start of the year, and I look at the site every so often, though haven't done any work for them as yet. I'm not sure if they've had cinemas in the past - I know they do ice cream type places in shopping malls. I don't know what the new stuff will be like, but might be worth registering if you're not already. Fingers crossed it's for something interesting leading up to Christmas!:D0 -

Have just looked to see what they have at the moment - Care Homes down south, and a posh retail store in London - but check out the Training stuff for that store - I've only glanced through it, but one question in particular I've never come across any company asking before!!0 -
Got my first bookies tomorrow for Gfk. I've noticed that on the form it asks about any winnings you get. Does that mean that if I walk away with a little profit (first time for everything I guess), they don't refund me my £4 stake?0

Just signed up and tried looking for shops. Guess I have the best luck in not being able to get any hits. Nothing was showing as being available boo hoo0 -

They should do. I go for a 10/1 ( or bigger ) shot and do a £2.00 each way, then if it wins it makes it more worthwhileHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I messed up a gap pizza job, yes i was that thick ! oh well, I didn't order starter, even though i emailed them to clarify, the instructions are SO unclear. Was suppose to be pizza and starter OR more pricy pizza and starter, the instructions looked like it was just the more expensive pizza and I thought seeing as the reimbursement didn't even cover the pizza, didn't think I needed the starter. We live and learn ! I always say it but I'm going to do better paid jobs from now on, just sometimes the temptation of a calorie filled pizza is to much. Thats so unfair Bec's, shall we get t-shirts with "i'm a mystery shopper , do as I say" and we can weat them under our coats !!0

mcal - of all the starters in all the world, its just typical you chose the wrong one! so annoying, isn't it.
I have decided not to do anymore for them, theres no fee just the food, so going to concentrate on jobs with at least a fee. The thing that gets me is I emailed a specific question about the ordering and I got a poor response - not answering the question, just a copy of the top of the instructions where it tells you what to order. If I had understood that I wouldn't have been emailing. GAP were a good start to learn the ropes , but thats it.0
