A silly question for all MSers. Does the store know in advance when they will be mystery shopped? As I am sure they don't treat every customer the way I was treated. Or am I just being suspicious. As 1 store I was in every member of staff at 1 point walked passed me and being an old retired teacher I notice these things.:rotfl:

Thanks for the advice yesterday re jobs whilst on SMP. I have contacted both employers and one of them says I can work self employed. This is fantastic as it means I can work from home for 10 hours a week and get paid for something I have been qualified in for a year. It also means I should not have to go back to work in July next year. I can now do two jobs I love (MS and teaching) as well as spending time with the little one (who is 8 weeks old today).

I have also had a call from GAP appologising for their email asking me to do my burger job early even though they did not need it doing early. They have however agreed to reschedule it and pay me the upgraded amount which is good as I have already done the job. I have decided it pays to be difficult if they mess up.

    Thanks again everyone.
  • Are ISC serious??? This recorded telephone call - 8 mins on the 0870 number, which is bad enough - now I look at the report and in addition to the questions they want a minimum of 700 words 'personal experience' report. For £4????????

scaredy - if they ask why you havent gone to your local branch or why you picked theirs tell them that a friend had recommended you came to their branch as they are all lovely! or something to that effect!

Stick to lies that dont open up a bunch of questions else you have to think on your feet! maiden names and previous address roll off the tongue easier.

I was in a phone shop the other day (a gfk one) and the guy asked my post code to look at network coverage. I gave my true home one and then he paused and looked at me and said what are you doing all the way out here then? there are closer shops. I quickly said I worked at the local hospital and he nodded. during the conversation I then had a bunch of questions like what do you do at the hospital? oh yeah... do you know so and so? what hours do you do?. then the manager came over to authorise a deal and saw my postcode and exclaimed oh whereabouts in the village is that? I live just off such and such road. (MY road!).
and I had a bank one where you had to give real details and the woman lived in the next road and said she thought she recognised me. and a travel agent where when I gave my name said I think I was speaking to your dad earlier, shame they had to cancel their holiday!!!! soooo sometimes fake names and being out of youur usual area are easier! lol.
  • Heeeelllllpppp!!! Thicko alert! Sorry everyone but I'm stuck! I did this recorded telephone call and now I have to go onto Rectel's website and download it.

I'm on a Mac and don't know what the 'f' I'm doing. It says download in wav/mp3/ogg. Well the first 2 just brought up a screen with a big Q in the middle. The ogg one seemed to work but what do I do now??? I've downloaded it into Finder.. now what???? What application do I use to open it, and how do I get there?

I've downloaded it but I don't know what to do with it next! I don't know what application I'm supposed to use.

I could wait til hubby gets home, he's better than me at computers. I'm extremely tempted to just not bother, though. I might just fill out the report as best as I can and send an email saying I couldn't figure out how to open the telephone conversation. I mean, how many hours are you supposed to spend on something for a £4 fee???
