Just a quick question, trying to make the most of every assignement with companies that only reimburse what you spend.
Eg. Reimbursement is £8 to buy X food and Y drink
X and Y only comes to £5, so can I buy another item to make the total come to £8 even though the assignment does not require it.
Tks.x
Depends on the company.
With RE I always ensure that I spend the full amount by buying extra items.
GAP will pay you £8 whatever the food costs.
TNS are rumoured to do the same as GAP, but I always spend the full amount by buying extra items.Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -
Hi all I just want to say I am quite impressed with TNS, they have paid me for 2 jobs where I'm pretty sure I missed the payroll cut off date for that month! Not so impressed with BARE, still no money......0

OK, thanks, It was for RE as I know gap pay you the full amount whatever your spend, but with RE its up to £X but if you spend less then that, thats what they will reimburse. So you buy extra items even though its not required for the brief. Usually I spend a few pennies more to make full use of the reimbursement but there have been times (pubs/posh take away places) where I could have bought an extra drink/snack, so just wanted to check what others do. I think it is specific to each job as you have to consider timings - like burger places ordering extra could effect the timings, but if its just picking another item from the shelf, this won't effect the timings.0 -

Payment pending on my screen, did get an email saying there was a problem and they hadn't released payments or some such bobbins. But that isnt acceptable, should charging them interest, out of pocket for 2 months.
Consider RE who get smashed but at least they pay twice a month, GfK etc pay on time too every single month, it doesnt stack up well.
BARE are as bad as GYP and need to get themselves sorted sharpish.
I have just accepted my first assignment for BARE, but after reading this I'm wondering if I should bother! Will I actually get paid?0 -

Did my first and only job for BARE on 4 August so expecting to get paid next month. If I don't god help them. GAP got the brunt of my wrath last time when they went back on a promise to pay me extra (I eventually got the agreed fee) and I won't hesitate in doing to same to BARE. Were not talking pennies here it was quite a good fee (in my eyes anyway!!). How the hell can they expect people to do the flight jobs as well if their not going to pay them on time. Especially in this day and age do they think people can just afford to pay out cash for flights and then wait months to get paid - I mean come on, wake up and smell the coffee.0 -
i would have though RE would have got the message by now but obviously not, there are still a load of chemists on there, lets hope as the dates end sunday they wont put them back on, even with prescriptions a week and my glandular fever i couldnt stand the sight of more hayfever tablets.:rolleyes:september:£22 jackpotjoy,screensaver,£50 thomas cook voucher0

I came on to ask about Bare as well. Did my first 3 jobs for them at the beginning of the month. When *should* I receive payment from them?
