    Hello everyone:D

Still trying to catch up by degrees, trouble is there's so much to read I keep forgetting who said what:o :D

Glad the wedding went well mioliere. It sounded perfect:T
Happy Anniversary to the Penguins:love:  I love fish restaurants:D Don't walk too close to the water after the cocktail;)

Hope Miss twit has returned or made contact soon.

mrs mix:hello: sorry you've been bad, hope you're feeling better now. Does this damp make you worse? I know stress is very bad for you.

My day is going to be dominated by laundry, *sigh* I have a box of borax at the ready, because a couple of pairs of my trousers will need a jolly good soak before washing. They acted like a wick in the rain which seeped ever higher up the legs. I'm left with dirty stains and a tidemark at almost knee level:rotfl: Anyone could think I'd been to Glastonbury rather than York!!!

Also need to do some baking. Cleared all the supplies before the weekend, so at the least I need to do some biscuits. Must get a loaf on too. Dinner will be something easy from my frozen HM *ready meals* as I have loads to do before we leave for Devon at the end of the week. No doubt to more soggy weather:rotfl:

Just remembered, have a lovely holiday ivyleaf, don't forget that mac, but hope you won't need it;) I'm thinking welly boots and thermals for Devon:D

Best get on, (((hugs))) for those who need one, and hope everyone has something nice in their day.

    Good morning :hello:

WAT I'm sure Miss WAT and her friend will turn up okay (((HUGS))). I remember my DS not coming home one night at that age - I got an apologetic text the next morning at about 11.00 to say he was still alive and had "crashed" on someone's floor!

Churchmouse - hope you enjoyed your holiday, will have a look in a min to see if you posted last night :D

Penny_Pincher (((HUGS))) I wonder if you realise how much we all think of you? :)

Penelope penguin - Welcome back! Glad you had a good time. And Happy Anniversary! _party_

Kaat - thinking of you and your dear cat (((HUGS)))

Today DH is going to pick up the hire car we're taking on holiday - it's a seven-seater, so hopefully there will be room for the five of us plus the luggage and a large dog :D Not sure what we're going to do with our own car while we're away - we don't have a Resident's Permit for it, as it's usually parked in the "Disabled" bay outside the house. We were going to leave it at DD1's house - as they are coming on holiday with us, that would have been really convenient - but the Council are arranging to have their damaged drive resurfaced "before October" so it would be typical if they came to do it while we're all away :p I think we'll have to ask if we can park it at DD2's house instead.

I'm looking with some despair at the so-called "dining table" - talk about a Flylady "hotspot"! It currently has on it a really odd assortment of things. One's my sewing machine. so that's all right. But there's also:

A big paper bag containing some of DH's medicines

2 cardboard boxes, each containing 2 "daylight" low energy lightbulbs

    A box of Rawlplugs

A small box of electrical bits and pieces (not sure whose this is, but certainly not mine  )

    Sugar bowl

A jar of low sugar jam for DH in case he gets desperate for something sweet

    A clothes brush

    A wire coat hanger

A packet of peanuts, packet of dried apricots and pack of "Go Ahead Savoury Snack Bars" (all DH's)

A plaque we brought back from Malta 11 months ago and still haven't hung up - at first I couldn't find a hammer, then couldn't find the picture hooks:rolleyes:

A new sink trap which DS bought when he was going to plumb the DW in, then found he didn't need after all (as he couldn't get the old one off anyway:p )

and a few more things which I won't list as this is getting so long :D None of it's mine apart from the sewing machine and a four-pack of Wrigley's Extra. Oh, and I suppose the daylight light bulbs could be classed as mine, as DH bought them for me, in hopes I'll be able to see better with them than with an ordinary low energy bulb :A

I said to DH last night that we really needed to move into a bigger house to accommodate all the stuff we do actually need but there isn't room to store!

DH has just got up as he has to see the Diabetes Nurse before he goes to the car hire place. He thinks she's going to send him for more blood tests today

Shez, Churchmouse, Stefejb, Bargain Rzl, Catowen, mrs_mix. VickyA, betheebee :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello:

(((hugs))) to all in need, candygirl, betheebee, Squiggly, Essex girl and anyone I've missed :o

    Best wishes

    ivyleaf xx

Churchmouse  yes the damp does make it worse and with my right hand being badly affected (as well as other places) it can be akward as I tend to drop a lot of things asda do a good range of cheap plates ect:o  but I cope with it the best I can and keep going
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you

  • Morning all – I wondered why on earth the thread was up to 3 pages by 9am!!

Whatatwit, have you tried going in the back gate if you know which one it is & banging on the door loudly? The longer time goes on & then the more fanciful the excuse, the more cross you end up getting with them too, because you’re just so relieved they’re back. And of course no sleep doesn’t help being able to think logically either. I know you said you phoned the police earlier, what was their advice? ((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) to you. I would be grounding them (forever, lol) when they get home……

Hester & Troo, my 14 year old is terrible for letting her phone go flat, and then they stroll in (very) late wondering why you were making a fuss….?!?!?!
N9eav, ouch on the car repairs – it always seems to all come at the same time.
Welcome back PenPen – and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
Pixie, thanks for helping your poor old mum, lol!!! I’ll go & hunt you two down J Oh, and MrsMix too!!
Dazi, good luck with the interview, hope it goes well J
Redruby, I lurve cottage pie J Can I come for supper???? Your brother’s neighbours must give him knowing winks every time they see him I imagine..
Candygirl, sounds like you’re in for a fun day J
Ivyleaf, have a great holiday….that’s one long packing list…!!!

    Hi RR
Yes he grew out of quite young, though my DD's hubby still does it, it drives her mad as it makes her feels seasick, but neither DS or DSIL sleep walk. The cot used to walk across the floor & the only reason his bed didn't move was because the room was too small.

I'm still playing on face book & adding friends, if you don't want to add me, I'll understand, lol.

    Hi all,

whatatwit ((hugs)) for you - I'm sure they will turn up soon - thinking of you

redruby - my sister used to rock in her sleep too; I think it's quite common, even if it does look a bit odd. We always just used to assume she was settling down to sleep and it was just her way of calming down - a comfort thing. She sleepwalks too now (she's 23 now)

moliere - glad the wedding went so well :)

    Pen-pen - happy anniversary :o

this is my facebook link if you want to add me :)http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=36816007

hope you all have a good day, cel x
