OS Daily thread for Monday 11th August.

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for mon 11th aug. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Hi LTS, at present I haven't been to bed as Miss Twit and her friend have not returned home.
I have been driving around town and have now reported it to the police. I feel physically sick, both hers and her friends phones are off.
Mr Twit has gone for a walk around, as he feels so helpless.
I will update when I know anymore.
    All hugs accepted.

Morning. I hope Miss Twit returns soon. How old is she?
Kids do things like that and forget to tell the parents that they had planned somthing else. I have looked for 100's of missing people and they all show up in the end.
It is not raining so far. There is still a long day to do so we shall see if we make 15 consecutive days of rain. If we do more are certain to follow as the forscast says so for the rest of the week.
Work soon while the OH takes the kids to church camp. That was a bit of a sore subject as they were suppose to stay over last night, but the organiser got it wrong and we had to bring the kids home again. The OH is not happy about having to drive 40 miles down to Penzance again.
I have to spend £150 fixing the brakes on the car today:sad: That's if I do it myself. New disks and pads, bummer. Tyres need doing too, but there is only so much one can do in a month.

Well looks like we had another gold in the Olympics. I saw the cycling highlights last night. The feel good factor is high right now. Good old Team GB!
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!

    Morning all,

Hopefully by now the wayward Twits will be tucked into bed sleeping and Mrs & Mrs Twit snoring soundly. The fun side to having teenagers. Very worrying though for you. <hugs>. Been a lovely sunny day here although it's a sneaky cold wind. I've been in the kitchen most of the day. At least I've had slippers on and I'm not pregnant. :D

Cat Have a lovely time in London and grab some bargains.
Blairweech Thanks for that. Not sure how it works though. I mean the show that Troo put a link to a few days ago.
CM Shame you had such a wet time of it. :D I'm sure N9eav will tell us it's bright and sunny down his way this week.
Ivyleaf Enjoy yourself. Yes, I use to go to the mainland to shop.

Well off to check my passionfruit jam. What a pallaver to make it. It better taste nice. :D Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

  • Morning everyone

whatatwit - I do hope Miss twit and friend are back safe and sound by now (((((hugs))))), please let us know when you can x

Just watched GB get Gold and Bronze in the ladies 400m swimming :T

Back to work for me today (boo hiss) DD is going to the FIL's, I'm going to let DH sort her out this morning, and I'm going to take advantage and get to work early - sometimes I wonder whether it's worth having time off, due to the amount of work you have on your return

Need to take some meat out of the freezer - I'm thinking maybe sausages and pasta

Need to iron one last load when I get home, and clean the kitchen windows.

    Have a great day everyone
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

Hi, still no sign of Miss Twit or her friend. :(
Thanks for the hugs and kind thoughts.
N9eav, they are 15. My thoughts are that they fell asleep on someones floor, well amongst many others.
