(((Hugs))) WAT - trouble is when they return you don't know whether to hug them or throttle them (or both). Have you contacted friends parents? Have you sent a text so that they get it as soon as in range of a signal? Sometimes find that works when calling doesn't.

    Morning all
Hugs to WAT, hope they turn up soon, my kids favourite trick was forgetting to charge their phones before they went out.
Donny I've tried to add you as a friend on facebook, hope that is ok, also tried to add Pixie.
Today I need to get to the bank to pay some money in & try to get BIL's washing dry.
I hope everyone has a good day.
    Hugs Hester

Hi Donny, oh yes, I have sent texts to both of them and I've asked for a delivery report, so I know when the messages land. But, I do think they have run out of battery.
I know where the friend lives, well which back gate is theirs and I've been going through my on-line bill checking call records to obtain the phone number. :(

Washing up done. Whites on the line. Darks prepared to be washed when monster gets up. So I'm pretty much organised for a change.

Spent yesterday at my mum's and my 4 year old nephew was there. He was playing cars and was determined to protect them. Lil went over to get one. So he rushed over to grab it back (usual boy style). Lil walked past him, picked up a book and whapped it round his arm. My nephew frowned exclaimed that lily hit him and then prompty picked up something and whapped her back. She then picked that thing up and whapped her back. It was great entertainment. Difficult to tell her off because she was only defending. Besides I want to encourage her to sort things out for herself...particularly where other kids are concerned.

At least I know that she's not going to be a wall flower that gets picked on.

Am thinking of taking a walk later, but I havent really decided yet.

Its sausages, salad, and maybe new pots for tea.
Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Lily contracted Strep B Meningitis Dec 2006  Now seemingly a normal little monster.
Love to my two angels that I will never forget.

  • Good morning everyone! Mr P and I are back from our holiday (the Young Penguins are staying with their grandparents until Wednesday). WE had a lovely time - lots of walking, seeing friends and family, barbeques, cream teas :D

It's our 18th wedding anniversary today. After DH has done so much extra work this year, his boss has given him a meal at a restaurant so we've booked that for tonight - a lovely fish restaurant. DH has offered to drive (we've turned down the offer of a taxi so that we can go for a walk along the docks if it's nice) and has said I can have a cocktail :j

Whatatwit - hope they're home soon

Squiggly - (((((hugs))))) for you, your DD and her friends. What a shock for you

Happy Birthdays to the ones I've missed (AnnieBL and Jayward stick in my mind)

LTS - what a brilliant idea :T We watched the swimming heats yesterday afternoon, and wished we'd seen the final, after hearing the GB gold and bronze winners on the radio (update, it's being repeated now - what a race :j )

Hugs to everyone I've missed ;)

    Old Style jobs for today:
    • Baking (I have 24 eggs in the fridge :o )
    • Kitchen floor
    • Supermarket order
    • Water veg plot, pick fruit and veg, tidy up plants
    • Clean out hens
Have a great day, Penny. x

Whatatwit, I know how you feel - your stomach's churning. Miss troo (17)has done this to us, she went to NASS in july. Along with another friend, she managed to lose the friend who was giving her a lift home. As they were staying in a tent, there was nowhere to charge her (by now, very flat) phone so I couldn't ring her and it didn't occur to her to use a phone box  They used the little money they had left to get a train, which took them all of 10 miles, then they were stranded. We finally got a phone call 5 hours after they were due home. I was ready to hug her and strangle her at the same time. She also forgets to ring most saturday nights to let us know that she's staying at a friend's house. I'm sure Miss Twit is fine, it's probably something as simple as they decided to stay at the friend's house and rang the other parents for a lift, while forgetting to ring you to let you know hug.gif
