Have spent this afternoon shopping for stuff for DDs new bedroom in her student house next year.
DDs have been getting me things for my birthday on Wednesday, which I am not supposed to know about IYKWIM.
Got three blue rugs from Ikea (£6.99 each) to match the curtains that are already up. Got two very pretty lilac and cream duvet sets a few days ago, in the sales, which she likes.
Have been looking everywhere for a purple/amethyst quilted throw and finally found one in Ponden Mill in York today - it was the only one in the shop!!
Still need to find pretty cushions in llac or purple and a pretty print or poster.
If we are really stuck I will look for really nice material and sew some cushion covers myself!!!
Just starting to read the thread so sending hugs anyway."This site is addictive!"

mioliere, the photos are lovely. What a beautiful bride! She looks so natural, and they make a lovely couple. Is your other DS in the photo? I've got a redhead DS too, the others are blond.

Hugs Kaat, glad another wanderer has returned.
Stefe, the police just checked she was ok and asked about what had happened.
They both had a bit to drink, her pal more than her (supposedly) and it got late, they couldn't find her pals dad who was also at the festival, they lost the keys, couldn't walk home, so ended up at a hotel with a girl that they knew from last year who had lost her mates and had a room to herself. Both mobiles were dead. didn't want to turn up at home with no keys as we might have been out looking for them. Some other friends were in a nearby hotel, so one of the lads (whose dad I know) walked them home this morning.
Now....how believable is that
They were both apologetic, can only hope it's taught her a lesson.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
