I guess you've already pointed this out to him, but maybe he needs you to help him see that having help from an "outsider" would give him times when he can be your OH, and not your carer. Then you can be a couple, not someone who needs assistance & their helper.

Thanks Floss! Yes, I have pointed this out to him, but he is stubborn. I have called my care manager and she has agreed to give me any hrs I need as it would cost them alot more to put me in supported accomadation with 24/7 care. OH has just signed up to do his British Sign Language Level 1 in October so thats a start. He has just got to stop worrying so much about me.

Thanks everyone '',,we have found him twice now as he waddled away again,,we found him under next doors caravan,, at the moment he is drinking with his whole head in the dish ,, it drips of his chin when he is finished so have to wipe it ,, dont know how he gets next door as he can hardly walk as his back end has gone ,,I think he saves up his energy to ''get away''.

    see you soon

    Afternoon all,

Very windy with showers here...showers are to become more widespread...i.e. it is soon going to rain non-stop, hurray for summer!

WAT...so glad that she has returned safely, would definitely check out story...rule here was that if they were not coming home they were to let me know, also inform me where they were staying....letting me know rule still applies for DD4 or anyone living here.

Mioliere....beautiful pictures....beautiful bride and very handsome groom, where is the photo of mother of the groom???

KAAT...sounds as if he wants to go away and be on his own, animals are like that.

Stefjb...Can understand that you are upset with sis...but so long as DD is enjoying her holiday don't let it get to you too much.

PenPin...sounds as if you are not going to persuade OH to let others take care of you...wonderful to have that kind of love in your life, even if you feel it is too much for him

PenPen....happy anniversary, enjoy your meal, good fish restaurants are thin on the ground here, not sure if its the same in UK

Wannabe sybil....my 'ought to do' list is almost 40 years long...some day....

Have added everyone who posted a link as a facebook friend...not really finding it as addictive as people say it is but refuse to give up all the same.

Feeling a bit ashamed this morning...Granny Broon and I had tentatively arranged to meet up when she is here on holiday....realised this morning that we had not exchanged contact details, thought that I had answered her last pm but didnt...have sent her a frantic pm to-day but not sure if she has access while away....and they talk about the friendly Irish...not doing my bit this week I think!!

    Have a good day all

    Here's a thought - "dear princess - about your ironing ....... "

meanmarie - you're right of course about dsis - have thought it through and decided that dsis is the one missing out as everyone else is having loads of fun. exbil texted to say that he and dd had another attempt at flying over the falls but the cloud cover was too much (whatever that means) so they turned back. They will try again tomorrow. for anyone who wants to see what she's up to her blog is here http://princessperry.blogspot.com/ - the comments from my dad, spike are hilarious

WAT - I think the "Right I am going to check out your story, and if I find out you have been lying, then you will be in far more trouble than you already are!" statement my son knows is his last chance and usually comes clean, and it is not half as bad as I imagine it could have been. Thank goodness he has well past it, though tbh I had very little hassle, the fear of Mum was far too great, :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: still is tbh.;)

M - will have a look at the photos later.

Kaat - isn't extreme thirst a sign of Diabetis (sp) for the cat?
Chalky - for two folk who did a whole extension themselves (well we hired a bricky and a plasterer but that was it) about 30 years ago, now we get in someone to do it, I just do the design, DH keeps them plied with tea/coffee, and tidies up and no we are running out of time and may have to cancel two weekend in September.

Forgot the rest I was going to say. Be back later.
