Thanks Hester, thats really interesting, I thought it might be a soothing thing, he really rocks though, the whole bed moves, did your ds do this ?
Oh and has he grown out of it ? hate to think of him doing it as an adult !!!! His poor partner !!

Haven't read the whole thread yet, but just thought I'd add my little bit about this.

My bf's lil bro used to do this.

It freaked me out when we had to share a room with him a few years ago for one night cos it sounded a bit dodgy if you know what I mean  . My bf just shouted his name at him and he stopped, but didn't remember anything the next day. Think he was about 13/14 at the time.

According to bf, it used to be a lot worse when he was younger (and bf used to share a room with him), so he got better and as far as I know, he doesn't do it any more.

    Hello everyone,

Sarted to read the thread, then sped read to make sure that Miss twit made it home (so glad she has ((HUGS)) to you twit, i hope the police do have a word and she doesnt do it again, you mustve had a horrible night!!!) and ive missed most other things - apart from Pixies news - WELL DONE - so glad someone i "know" has won!!!
Also pleased that KAATS cat has come home, hope he is better than the last few days.
So, ((HUGS)) to anyone ive forgotton and who needs one, ive not got much time so not sure if i can go back and read again!!!

Had a lovely morning with an old LO and his mum here, but has put me way back, as i want/need to get my house looking ship shape before tomorrow - so why im still sat here i dont know!!!
DS has gone out for a bike ride with some of his friends, and DD is upstairs with another girl i used to look after - she is the one whose family are moving to Derby later this week, which is why she has left me, but she wanted to come down for a bit to see us all before she leaves - ive been so lucky with the children ive looked after, ive seen this one grow up and its always hard when they move on. Luckily most are able to stay in touch, but when they move away it is a shame, especially when you have been part of their lives for so long (6 years!!). Now ive made myself feel old, when they come to you as a 5 year old, and leave as an 11 year old, you wonder where the years are going!! Saying that, LO who was here this morning first came to me as a 5 month old, and is now coming up 6 - he gets taller every time, there is going to come a time when they will be taller than me isnt there!

Well ive waffled on enough - need to do this cleaning and then get our packing done ready for tomorrow!!! I am so EXCITED - my friend is going to pick us up and take us to the train station, save me the bus fare (shes another one i met through being her childrens childminder, its been not only a rewarding job, but one that has made me meet some lovely people). I cant wait to start spending, ive never been able to go shopping like this before, and i cant wait to meet Shez as well - shame the weather looks so bad, but never mind!!

Right, i must go, the cleaning wont do itself!!

    Have a lovely day everyone,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Catowen - have a truly fantastic time; you deserve it. I don't think the weather will matter - your excitement sounds as if it will overcome anything! Have a great time with Shez, too!

    I've been Money Tipped!
Kaat Lady, I am so glad your old boy was found. I'm not sure where evil cat is at the moment, I think she is shedding hairs on my new mattress, but if she went missing I would be devastated.

My buddliea seems to out a lot earlier than normal. It normally blossoms for my darling husband's birthday, but that's a fortnight away and it is in full bloom. I really need to get out and cut it back so that people can use the path. My late mother pushed the twig into the ground and said that it would look nice. I never, ever considered it would grow so big. It is the size of, well, a very large buddliea.

Next door have still not dismantled the winnebago, and they can't get the skip until they get that sold for scrap, and I paid for the last skip which they filled (apart from an organ, chest of drawers and bookcase, it was a very large skip). So I have a mattress in my garden and the health and safety people will be round again to speak to my neighbours about the winnebago, camper van, small caravan, stack of tyres, stack of car parts and two non legal estate cars still in the road (they have got rid of a car and two trailers, plus most of a very large skip full of rubbish. It's a small unadopted road. The pile of building rubble from the mad landlord is also still piled up. I wonder what the mad landlord thinks he is doing - it seems to change with the wind direction.

Little bear has been very grumpy today. It isn't the sort of weather to take him out. Perhaps tomorrow.

Wannabe Sybil - get in touch with your local Council's Housing Enforcement people about the mad landlord, and the Environmental Health about the neighbour's scrap yard.

Thanks to all who wished me a happy day in London - it was actually 2 days & a half ;) .....Kensington Palace & a quick bus ride first, then a quick tour of DS2's college & home for tea. Then Hadrian at the British Museum, lunch with DB1 at Loch Fyne in Covent Garden (£11 for 2 courses + glass of house wine :D) followed by a couple of beers, watched the Olympic flag & flame in Trafalgar Square with lots of other tourists (much muttering of "how will Boris top that?") then Fortnums & Tesco (I know how to shop!) and home for DS2-made fajitas, which were very nice. Then Megabus home on Saturday afternoon, got home 40 minutes before friends arrived for dinner, ironed yesterday & DF toddled off for a few more days working away :( haven't seen him since last weekend as I went away before he came home.

Anyway - have had a quick catch up:

Mioliere - lovely wedding piccies, can't get on to see the favours though
Whatatwit - has anything more come out about Miss Twit's whereabouts? Must say though, that wind yesterday was playing havoc with some of the hairstyles!
Morwenna - I'm a bit further down from WAT, we have a lovely view of the Big One from our back bedroom!
Silvercharming - good news about OH, glad to hear it wasn't as serious & that he's picking up (shame about the ManU bit though...we're a Liverpool household!)
Candygirl - take care of yourself & your mum, you need to keep well and strong for your dad & to cope with everything that goes along with caring for parents :grouphug:

Right, am off to see what fruit Mr M has for my lunches......anybody want anything while I'm going?

    Love to all

Hope everyone has a good evening
