There are loads of places to visit - it is a very beautiful area. It all depends what you are into. St Malo, Dinan and Fougeres are worth a visit and to make it interesting for Adam, they all have land trains (or certainly used to). There is also an Aquarium on the outskirts of St Malo that is worth a visit if it is raining.
There are so many areas around there that they cannot all be noted. I hope you have a great holiday.

:T A train and an aquarium are my son's ideal of absolute heaven! Funnily enough, my OH's as well. Perhaps I'm the only shopaholic in the family after all...:o

There was a link to the Brittany tourist board on the site for the park you mentioned, which I've not yet had time to look at but have bookmarked for future perusal! I plan to do as much in the way of days out as Tesco will pay for, and then the best of the rest so the advice is greatly appreciated.
  • They have some new Euro attractions on p13 of the deals mag. Look very pricey even in clubcard deals..the Asterix park is £10 in deals for a 1 day entry each..and so on. The cheapest is £5 at Cineaqua..no idea what that is but is same site with www. and com at the end if you want to find out.

    Hi PP,

Noticed you had posted a reply on another thread so popped over here to see if there was any 'activity' :rotfl:

I hope you don't think that I spend all my time on Eurodisney sites!! In fact the first time I knew about them was when I went in December. Have to agree - bizarre.

Yes I thought you got a ticket for both places but she was adamant that you pay for separate tickets...may be somebody who has done their own thing could confirm? On the studios side - I went on the Cars ride with DS aged 8 and DS aged 3 - the 3 year old was scared sh*tless. It is quite a jolty and fast ride.

Not sure when I would go. Was trying to figure when the best time would be. We tend to finish earlier here in Leicestershire than other parts of the country but don't know how it compares to European countries. We've been in March (really quiet) and December (really quiet). I've heard horror stories of some serious queues and my patience is zilch which probably explains my childrens temperament! But you are not meant to be encouraging me...I hated my last holiday with child from hell.

I thought Greg was 1 this month? Can't believe how quickly time has flown. I have been very fortunate with Adam that he has only just worked out how to crawl...but he is making up for lost time and is pulling himself up to standing position. Tonight he found the eBay stash in the living room

:rotfl: Yeah yeah, you're a closet Disney forum geek, aren't you?!!! No, I definitely wasn't meaning you when I was on about the regulars there. I think it's perfectly healthy to use and abuse them when planning a holiday, but to pity them for the rest of the time. I'm a nasty piece of work really.:D

Greg's birthday is 12th March, when's your Adam's? He's slightly younger, isn't he? Lucky you, him just starting to crawl. Greg's been into everything for a while now, he's now standing up without holding on to anything but not walking yet. Suppose it won't be long, then the real trouble will begin!

Not sure about the dual ticket business at all - on the Disneyland Paris site the deals are definitely all for 2 parks. Perhaps that's just the specific ones we're looking at as part of the hotel packages, I suppose if you just turned up on the day it would be different. My Adam would definitely be scared sh*tless if the Cars thing is jolty - he's terrified of most things, bless him. And I'm not encouraging you...honest ;).

They are quite pricey, aren't they? Thank goodness for Clubcard vouchers, could you imagine paying £40 in real money each to go to a theme park? The cineaqua thing looks interesting, I saw it the other day but their site was down. I've just had a look at their website again and although it's all functioning I still can't quite work out what it is - one of those sites where something is lost in translation I think. The missing thing being the translation itself on most pages.

Hi Pandapaws, I've been to eurodisney a couple of times and stayed at the Holiday inn both times (there's a big pink courtesy bus running every 10-15mins to the park) and it was cheaper than the disney deals - might be worth a look? I think I bought 2 or 3 day tickets that covered both parks but we didn't spend much time in the studios.

Just had a look and the Hol Inn is still coming up at a minimum of 400 Euros - could probably get that down a bit by shopping around, but I based that on 2 nights whereas we've been looking at 3nts/4 days with the Disney hotel at around £600, so roughly the same except that includes the park entry. I've been lurking quite a bit on the Eurodisney board on here and the general concensus seems to be that the cheapest way of doing it is to stay in the Disney hotels. Mad really. Thanks for the advice anyway, I did like the sound of the big pink bus!

Why did I think Greg was February? Adam's b'day is the 27th. Must make sure I don't forget. (Puts note in diary and had to double check that I had got the correct date) I don't envy you with Greg being mobile at such a young age. My first two were and I thought Adam was just lazy but now realise that doing these things weren't important to him; he has two brothers who do it for him!

Have arranged a childminder for one day a week as well. Let's hope it gives me some of my previous sanity back. Have got to get back to losing weight and toning up. Haven't managed to do anything this year...too busy looking at holidays.

I'm a bit puzzled why you are thinking about going to Eurodisney? I thought you'd spent a lot of time finding a nice two week holiday on a cheap budget? Now you have doubled the budget and added in a lot of extra travelling and stress. We went to Eurodisney with a five year old and a one year old, and the five year old enjoyed it well enough, but the one year old was too little to get very much out of it. Personally, I'd save the money, concentrate on enjoying your beach holiday, and maybe take a short break to Eurodisney next year. Just my opinion, of course!
