We go to a caravan park at St Ives Bay, but don't stay at a caravan, they have some (basic) little chalets as well. Its a quiet family park, and you can walk out of the end of the park, down the sand dunes straight onto the beach at St Ives Bay.
I can confirm that is a lovely park..i can also recommend a few quieter ones a bit more inland and will have amenities and basics covered ..just pack your car with clothes. In June and July they will be cheaper than £800 too.Nothing chavvy about any of them.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I'm sure that the one at St Ives would be lovely, it's just that my OH hates Devon & Cornwall with a passion after being dragged there every year as a kid! We went to a nice place near Newquay last year too on a Sun hol that they allocated for us, so it would be nice to go somewhere different. Got the French thing down to £600ish, so for £300 a week so I think we'll probably go with that.
Will gladly be your guinea-pig Hypno. Since we're going on your behalf, I don't suppose you want to pay for half, do you?:D0 -

The French holiday sounds amazingly cheap if it's £600 for two weeks including the ferry crossing. Have a good look at the crossings available and the timings though because with two young kids that's the bit I've always found most stressful about going to France. It should be lovely around there though (and nice wine, of course).0

Hoorah for your ironing! I hope you find a lovely holiday Panda. I have no suggestions I'm afraid... The French hol sounds amazing though! I'd go for that one in a heartbeat if it would have cost around £900 for Centreparks!Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! We've got it down to £499 for the French hol, with French Freedom, in 9 nights, sailing Poole to St Malo, staying at Chateau Des Ormes which is only half hour drive from the ferry. I think we'll add a couple of extra nights at £35 each, but the huge dilemma now is Eurodisney. We mentioned it (stupidly) to Adam and he desperately wants to go. It'd almost double the cost of the holiday though. Yoo-hoo, Floxxie, are you around? :hello: Need to do some Disney related brain picking! Or anyone else with knowledge of Disneyland Paris and how best to do it on the cheap. We shouldn't really spend the money but kids are only kids once.
I'm finding that the time I get on the computer at the moment is taken up entirely with Ebay. My new listing buddy is doing a brilliant job, but the down side of that is that I have to do loads of work too, adding prices and editing. Also as we're selling stuff, I'm having to post every day which is a pain in the bum as the Post Office here aren't the best and there aren't any others nearby that are much better.
How's everyone? Anything exciting going on?0 -

Sounds good Panda:D
I have never been to Paris Disney so have no idea. Does Tesco clubcard do something there? They seem to have every other bloomin holiday deal..so worth a punt.

Thats an "oops", then .... oh dear. But ebay sounds good, if tiring ... at least you're getting rid of the stuff. You're not buying more to replace it are you????
Exciting ... I booked a seat on Virgin Galactic :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: okay, I walked around the block.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hellooooo,
I'm here! Haven't been receiving the daily updates so thought you had gone quiet...
On Eurodisney, we booked everything together so no idea about cheapbut my friend has just booked ferry, a 5* campsite for a week, and Eurodisney tickets for two days for £500 which obviously compared to my extravaganza is a bargain.
Had a quick look at the Eurodisney site for tickets only:
http://offers.disneylandparis.co.uk/special-offers/index.xhtml?tduid=288928aeb5a6c6e0669950d59ef1202e&affId=1133411#contentj
My friend mentioned that you get separate tickets for the Park and the Studios; if that is the case, and you want to keep it cheap(er), then stick to the Park.
Also if you do go make sure you bring your own food and drinks with you - lots of people will mention that you can't do that but hide it well with nappies etc. and although there is a quick search of bags, there won't be a problem. Otherwise it costs a serious fortune.
It is magical and despite my negativity in December because of tantrum toddler, we are sitting here seriously considering a summer break to Eurodisney! :rotfl:
Well done on the eBay side. I have to get some more items on this week whilst the kiddies are on half term.
