    me and mate phoned.

he told was price mistake, i told it was photo descriptive error, a special offer and the bundle wasnt a gamecube bundle but a pokemon game bundle.lol a bundle of games

when i asked for clear details as what bundle contained he says not happy to discuss this with me.

I suggest there is conflicting infomation from first time i call to second and they have changed their message to the customer given inacurate information.what is the issue here ?

Told that call to be terminated. stated that customer services should give clear message and consistant reason to ALL its customers. Raised voices ! told to complain in writting to head office. Given address.

    BOMBARD THOSE LINES....

they have handled this so badly ... anyone else been told lies in regard this.

DONT care if i dont get it ...just cant believe how badly tesco handled this. Guy stated he was customer service manager...i didnt think they answered phones !!!

lol how this thread has grew.. 24 pages.. trading standards now invloved, watchdog also..

i placed my order at the start, if it slipped through the net great, if it didnt that was the end for me. Dont see the point in going to all the trouble ringing people, arguing, emailing etc etc.

We all knew it was a slip up and tried our luck. Why not just move on to the next one. All this fuss will just make the companies TRY and do more with there T&C etc and prevent future opportunities for us.

Totally agree moonie,LOL was worth a try but i knew it was highly unlikely to happen and like you say all they do now is say they cant get the items supplied.
Bargains are bargains but scams or taking advantage of errors for those that think it isnt a scam to get a £100+ item for £33 are great when they come off or nothing ventured nothing gained when they dont.Time to look for a new one :o

sure, it'll be sometime this evening as i'm at work now.

Perhaps you could send it to Reestit Mutton and have him update this page http://www.reestit-mutton.co.uk/pokemon_bundle.html  so everyone can grab it :)  Cheers.

just to confirm... i spoke to my local TS (Birmingham) at lunchtime.. and he said i did have a case against them for loss of bargain.. and to go to small claims court.. so i contacted small claims and they are sending a pack out to me.. i then phoned up virgin again to inform them of my actions and lo and behold instead of 'our suppliers cant get, theres nothing we can do sorry' i got 'We are reviewing this matter - and will contact all involved shortly about the situation' he then took my order number and he confirmed me my email addy.

    looking hopeful ..
  • i too took my chance and when i didnt get it wasnt bothered...however the lies i've been told by tesco has now  to the stage that i am bitching about their handling of it rather than not getting it.

now to the stage that i am bitching about their handling of it rather than not getting it.

dont know y this says pregnant :-)

And the none service i had from customer services.

A simple "its an error you cant have it" the TRUTH would have been nice eh ?

  • I ordered from Virgin on the 19th, got the auto-confirmation email, the cash was taken from my account on the 23rd and recredited on the 24th. They cant do this can they? Ive heard nothing from them. I emailed them today just to 'check the order status', but i know what they are goning to come back at me with.....same as everyone else. Oh well, maybe ill get an email this week? ???

With watchdog involved this could really be the turning point.

Hold fire on actually issuing Small Claims proceedings - according to D.S.R., they do have 30 days to fulfil the contract. No harm in advising them that this is what you intend to do, though.
