    Hello All

Day off for me today. Just sitting in the lounge enjoying the Olympics. Keep wondering what might have been if I'd have really concentrated on my athletics. Was told I could do it and didn't follow it through. Ah well, never mind. Weather doesn't know what to do with itself today.

I've been offered another freelance job and also applied for another one. Looks like going freelance full time again might be on the cards. Quite a nerve racking thought, but also quite exciting.

Dinner is coming out the freezer - looks like chicken legs with mushroom soup for sauce and mushrooms and rice. Had a good healthy breakfast of blueberry shredded wheat with some fresh blueberries added.

    Hope everyone's ok

    Afternoon all,

Have a great holiday JackieO, you are an inspiration to us all.

Raining earlier but now just breezy and overcast...might put some clothes out to get a 'blow', they will then dry more quickly inside.

Just OH and me for dinner to-day I think...hm pizza as there is some salami which needs to be used over next couple of days...have chicken stock I made last night so we might have a pot of soup too...

Woke up feeling 'funny' this morning, kinda butterflies in the tummy and a bit shaky...not apprehensive about anything so not sure what that's all about, have had breakfast and lunch but still feeling the same...will just take it easy, watch Olympics and do a bit of knitting.

Mioliere obviously still entertaining...hope all went well.

    Afternoon all
We went out last night to meet up with some friends from an online group, everything that could go wrong did, but it was a good evening in the end.
We got to bed at 1:30 & were up at 6:30, the sun was shining & wanted to get washing on the line, only managed to get one load dry & then it started to rain & hasn't stopped yet.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Hope you're feeling better meanmarie - keeping occupied helps with butterfly time so the knitting and Olympics seems a good idea to me.

JackieO - hope you have a lovely time. Sheringham is such a wonderful place.

Catz - you must be so proud of your son. Getting into print is VERY hard.

Candygirl - sorry the weather isn't good for taking your dad out. Hope he isn't too disappointed to miss the cricket.

    Well............where is the wedding news?????????????

    Back later to check....

  • Afternoon everyone

What a thoroughly miserable wet day it is!! Where have our Summer's gone

Haven't done a great deal today - cleaned the kitchen and washed the floor and done 2 loads of ironing, oh and washed the front door!

Trying to decide what to have for tea... maybe spaghetti carbonara and garlic bread.

Enjoy the rest of your day (((((hugs)))))
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

Miserable miserable miserable! It's not so much the rain I hate, it's the darkness. It just makes everything seem worse, somehow!

I haven't done too much either. Just went to tesco at got hassle from CS because I tried to use a voucher  and for once I was actually buying the item! I'll be complaining to head office this time as they were downright offensive. Ah well, it's not the most important thing in life, I suppose.

OH is having chicken soup again, I'm going to put some pasta in as well as veggies today and see how he does with that. I'll probably end up with that too.
