no doubt if there were in the same situation i doubt they woudl ignore what was going on!!!!0 -
Very difficult situation, at least about the sex talk. They should have at least made sure their conversation was well out of the way of customers ears.
Regarding the over pricing of the tyres - that's not on - wait and see what comes back from head office. Is this possibly a case for trading standards if they are giving out incorrect prices? There is no need to run outside

Liz_UK - really sorry to hear this story, so bad of them. As a bloke I would be very intimidated to go in there.
I know it is a little late now, but can I suggest you shop around a little. As a true MSEer I searched the net and for me https://www.Etyres.co.uk were the cheapest, not only that you pay by CC or DD when you order, you know what you are paying for, you pick the tyres you want, and the guy comes to your house or place of work at a time to suit you and just gets on with the job, he has a wheel balance machine on board, so everything would be done as they do in Kwik fit and then when he has finished you just sign to say he has done the job.
There are other at home tyre suppliers, but found Etyres gave an all in price, new valve, fitting, balancing, disposal of old tyre etc. I also think they cover most of the UK. I live way out in the Cotswolds and they came to my house!
I have nothing to do with Etyres, just found they give good service.

Is there a local independant place you could go?
There's a tiny tyre place on the main road next to where I live. It's run by a mature couple - he fits the tyres and she works in the office. They're lovely people. While he works on the car, she makes you a cuppa and has a chat! I've always trusted what he says in regards needing tyres, and they're cheaper than Kwik Fit too. Here I go again on my own....0 -
That's disgusting, but sadly not altogether surprising from a place like 'Kwik-Fit'.

mandymack wrote:Kwik-fit are horrendous I would never go back they once tried to rip me off by fitting and requesting payment for a a complete exhaust when I requested and they quoted for only the back box. When I queried it they tried to bull!!!! me by saying that complete exhaust was needed and exhaust couldn't be split etc, only they didn't realise that this girls dad used to own a garage so I knew what they were talking about.
Games set and match to the female with a complete new exhaust for the price of a back box
They are total rip off merchants
That is virtually the same experience that a female friend of mine had Mandy. Luckily she knew her stuff.

I've always found them OK but DW hates them and much prefers National Tyres right next door - they've helped her out with little checks and advice FOC when I've been away and have always seemed to have been courteous and sensibly priced when fitting tyres etc.
(Away on business that is - sounded a bit like I'd been inside!!).Apparently, if you lose one sense, others senses are enhanced. That's why those who have no sense of humour have an enlarged sense of self-importance.0 -
Go to head office and complain, I stoped using Kwik fit 10 years ago when the twice put a wrong tyre on a car, and they tried to tell me the other 3 were wrong (though were the same size as in the manual).

Definately complain & don't let it go. I had a nightmare experience in Kwik Fit earlier this summer & filled in the complaints form on their website. It certainly got a quick response.0
