Right, consumer direct said the same. As I'm being refunded there is nothing I can do.0

Yesterday while out shopping i came across a little stall in the middle of my local shopping centre. They were selling sea-spa stuff. I got sucked right in as this nice man gave me a demonstration and convinced me to part with £40 for a salt scrub and a moisturiser. As soon as i left the stall i knew i had been stupid and that i did not even want the stuff. Im just wondering if i can go back tomorrow and get a refund.
I have emailed the company through the website sea-spa.co.uk but no answer. There is nothing on the back of the receipt at all it is blank and just hand written on the front wht i bought and how much for.
TIA
If you have just changed your mind you have no legal right to return the product. The retailer may be kind enough to offer to refund for you but he is not obliged to do so.
If the goods are faulty then you have a right to a refund under the Sale of Goods Act.

Looks like the professionals are against you on this one. You may stand a chance in the Small Claims court but do you want to go down that line?
Best advice is to steer clear of Currys in future.

Nah, not wortha trip to the courts, steering well clear of that group in the future. Thanks given out for the advice peoples0

What a load of rubbish Currys are writing. A contract was struck when they removed money from your account.
Have a word with your local Trading Standards Officer and ask for his help.

You will not get any joy from them or Consumer direct, they will say that their T&Cs stand!
Have a look at this thread re Debenhams in particular page 4 #110 and page 5 #127, this was a similar problem, you will not get any where unless you are prepared to got to court and let a judge sort it out, TS are useless.Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Hi, Please can someone give some advice. 18 months ago I paid £600.00 for a philips wireless music system from Currys. I also (stupidly ???) paid £160 for a 5 yrs whatever happens extended warranty after being told that it would be repaired at home if anything went wrong. It has now stopped working properly and Currys are insisting that I have to take it back to the store to be repaired. I would not have bought the system if it could not be repaired at home as I live a 3 hr round trip away from my nearest currys.I have spent hrs on the phone between currys customer support and the whatever happens people, been given phone nos that have turned out to be wrong and generally been messed about. Is it worth me writing to head office if I can find the address or do I just give up and get in the car.  :mad:0

Do you have anything in writing to show that the repair would be carried out at home?

On the cover plan agreement it does say that they will come out to hi fis. It does say that in some remote areas service will not be available. The sales assistant said that where we live would not be classed as remote. When i called about the repairs customer services told me that they NEVER do repairs on brown goods in the home.0

Send a recorded delivery letter to the MD of the company.
Tell him that the agreement is part of your contract and you expect him to honour it.
