I'm home from my first day back at work for a few weeks. God it was hard going! I have had a mixed day really, two classes were ok and two were really naughty! The day didn't begin well but did impove by the end.
We are going to have 29p pizzas from tescos for tea as me and the OH are going along for a our first time at the local drama group. I am going to be in the chorus for Robin Hood and he is going to do backstage. I can't wait!!! I just hope that my CFS can stand it. I am really excited about getting back into it all but I am worried about being too exhausted. I need to take my mind off tomorrow though, I finally have my hospital appointment for my ears. I have no idea what they are going to do, I hope it works though cos its no fun not being able to hear properly!
I didn't get to make my sausage cassarole yesterday so I am going to do it tomorrow. I made a lovely Tikka massala from CQ's recipe last night that was brilliant. I used the base sauce that I already had frozen and it made it sooooooooo much easier and quicker!!! I will deffo make double the base next time.
I am going to have a nap now to get myself all ready for tonight. I can't wait, wish me luck!0 -
Not done much today due to my back but must not grumble.
Had the central heating people around as one radiator would not get hot even when full on. Think he managed to balance it all. Probem being smaller bore pipe down stairs. But what he has done has to make it warmer.
While searching for something else came across this article . Confirms what we already knew.
Yours

I've spent most of today in the kitchen cooking for the freezer. I managed to make two shepherd pies, two lasangnes, beef stroganoff in the slow cooker and a giant pot of chilli. I'm really pleased with myself as that will mean I can easily pull something out in the busy run up to Christmas.
Unfortunately I now have to deal with the pile of dishes before dinner tonight.
:j Happy Birthday kiwichick!:jI hope you had a lovely day.

Kiwichick: Happy Birthday!!!
Hope you had a good day.
I haven't been on here up till now, cos I was out all day: did massive shopping expedition - whole month's food (apart from perishables of course)
Haven't yet looked at total spend.........0 -
Hello everyone.
Tesco delivery not due until 7-9pm, but managed to scratch around to find enough bits for a sausage casserole (more veg than sausage), which is in the SC at the moment.
My target for the Tesco shop was £50, and my basket actually came to approx £52, so I'm quite pleased with that. This is my first Tesco delivery, so very excited!! The time saving factor pleases me as much as anything, and I've tried to be sensible about which things I buy as so much can be had elsewhere for less. I'm just hoping the convenience won't prove too irresistible.
Still need to do my Ebay listings, but can't work up the enthusiasm at the moment. Maybe later...0 -
Ooooh! Happy birthday Kiwichick!!!
I was going to post on here earlier, but I've just been sorting out my bank account. I was just idly checking to see how much money I (don't) have, when suddenly I saw a transaction (thank gawd for t'internet) that I didn't recognise. It seems that a small amount was paid out, using my maestro/switch card, at the weekend near where I used to live.................. but I haven't been back to for 2 months. Anyway, I've just been trying to sort it out with my bank and they're "raising a dispute" (ie probably doing not much about it). It was also paid out on a different issue number, so they're stopping that. I can't imagine someone getting hold of my details!!! Nooooooo. Surely that happens to other people?
OH is on his way home from work and will be cooking a curry. Sadly it isn't one of CQ's fab curries, which I need to make up a batch of to save up for a "rainy day".
Ah well, best go as he's back.

Hi All,
Lovely birthday today. DH sent me to the cinema all by myself to see "In Her Shoes", a blissfull 2 hours without kidsThe film was a feel good girly flick but lovely. I've eaten too many revels though and am about to pop
DD1 (3) made me a card at school and they have been singing happy birthday all day. God bless toddlers.
Absolutely nothing done today besides the MASSIVE shop at ASDA online. Its for the next month and is coming on thursday. That gives me some time to organise where the heck it will all go  A months worth of non-perishable items to store just doesnt bear thinking about but if its going to save me money I will get used to it soon enough.
Righto, off for a nice bath now whilst DH gets the kids into jammies-a once a year occasion. The jammies that is not the bath
Night all,

OH has had a couple of days off and decided Sunday to put up a better fence and spent most of the time doing that and also reinforcing next doors fence a bit too.
I actually saw the intruders creeping across our garden on friday and turned on the outside light, one of them (there were 4 'youths')stopped like a rabbit caught in the headlights, then carried on as if nothing had happened. The police now seem more interested as half the road has rung them up about it.
This afternoon ,we went to see the new Harry Potter film as DS was only at school for 1/2 a day(6th form so get to go home when no lesson). The film was excellent. We took our lunch sandwiches with us and bought some sweets in a shop rather than the cinema. Tomorrow will be back to normal(home lessons for DD and work for OH).0 -
