Hi all - so thankful for all the good luck wishes!

Mrs Moneypenny - having lived in Norfolk for five years I know what the weather can be like - I'm wishing for lots of sunshine for you and hope you have a great time.

I didn't mean to come back on here because I still have loads to do but I couldn't resist just checking in while I was passing my desk!

Right - off to do some more.

I've had a funny turn recently and got into gardening, dya think i'm getting old?:o :o:confused: I found a lovely family run nursery near me , and went and got lots of lovely pots and plants yesterday, for about half the price of the big garden centre down the road.I have a huge back garden with a patioed area at the side that I had made for the dogs. They refuse to go in it, so i've decided to make that my little oasis of peace and calm.I'm gonna clean it out later, and get some more pots and plants:D [strike]think i'm having a mid life crisis[/strike] :D
I saw someone mention Ricky Ross yest, I never fancied him but love the music, and we went to see DB last xmas.It was one of the best gigs i've ever been to:D

Silvercharming Hope your Dave had a good night ,and is feeling a bit better today.

mioliere Ahhh thank you thats really nice of you to say that, and yes we will have a wonderful holiday, its a good job we have until October, I really need to lose some more weight, its on the move but slowly. :D
So pleased the rehearsal went well, and looking at the pics of the favours on the other site, I am not surprised your DIL-to-be was pleased with them, they are lovely.:T

Floss Have a lovely day in London it sounds like you are packing a lot into it:D

Essex-girl what a shame about the remoska, but at least it sounds like a replacement wont take long. I am sorry to hear about your dad (hugs)

taplady that course sounds good, hope it does`nt clash, but perhaps if it does, you may get another chance later.:D

mrs-moneypenny Have a lovely time in Norfolk, are the lavender fields in bloom at the moment? I`m sending the good weather (((((vibes)))) to Norfolk as I type :rotfl: :rotfl:

Well I better get started have`nt a clear idea what I am doing yet, just the usual I think, vac, dust, tidy, sort dinner out and I must sort the video`s and dvd`s out they are driving me mad, every time I go in the cupboard they attack me. I bought a couple of plastic baskets, smallish ones, so I will stack them in those, hopefully that will keep them in order.
Fruit for lunch, then its down to the Post Office to send a parcel, and on the way back call in to see a friend, she looks after her DGS, he is a lovely little chap.
So thats pretty much my day up to now....but I reserve the right to change things without prior notice:D :D

    Back later

    Good morning!

Well the sun was bright and shining through my window when I woke up, but it's hidden itself behind some very dark clouds now! Never mind, need to sort out a new bathroom floor today so that should be lots of fun!

Not a lot planned today, will cook dinner with the kids tonight as I'm not w**king, something delicious with lots of bits, might make some pasta and if I get a shift on I could throw some french stick dough in the breadmaker so we can have garlic bread, yum!

Oh here comes the rain, might need to postpone dog's walk!

Not sure what lunch will be, rolls I expect as I had so many yesterday, hopefully will still be some there when i look in a minute.

Oh great bargain, and I'll have to tell all of you cos so few other people are interested in my food bargains, got black treacle for 26p and royal icing sugar for 22p in Mr T's last night, think it must be cos the packaging's going to be changed, like with the cake decorations. Anyway, worth looking out for if you're shopping in there.

Not much else happening here today I think, might have a friend dropping round for coffee and no doubt the odd neighbour or two will rock up at some time during the day, so best get myself moving after this cuppa and finishing the thread! Want to read the remoska thread later, very tempted and it sounds very money saving!

Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to all with troubles xx

    Morning all

tried to post earlier but the internet was playing up. Had a lovely time at the fireworks and came home via the chip shop as DS was starving and wanted sausage and chips.

SILVERCHARMING hope Dave is better soon.
JAYWARD sorry to hear you were in hospital for your birthday, hope you feel better soon.

SQIUGGLY I know a lot of people slag teenagers off, but I always think they are so thoughtful when things like this happens. Hugs to your DD and you.

HUGS TO ALL WHO NEED ONE THIS MORNING.

It's raining here. Have been to the allotment and put in more carrots and spring onions. Have picked some spinach beet for tea and some more beetroot.

Not sure what we're doing today. Need to nip to the butchers in a mo. Whatever tea is it will be with spinach!

    Have a good day all.

    I have to tell everyone...

I took little bear to the shop at the end of the street, but I didn't take the pushchair, we used reins! He was so well behaved, but so curious. I think he had been looking at some things while he was in his pushchair and now he could explore them! Including the lampost where all the dogs can, erm, reach  In the shop he was a little angel, because I kept stopping him from grabbing stuff but I had no tears or wails, he just found another intriguing brightly coloured and expensive thing to try and grab.

I love my little bear so much, and I am so proud of him.

It looks like the rain will be here soon, but I don't think that will damp my spirits too much.

My husband is still a little poorly, and I am worried, but he has gone into work. It will be the weekend soon, and I shall be so relieved.

Well, I am going to gird my loins and start reading the declutter thread. I need inspiration.

I hope silvercharming is well, and that her husband is recovering. It is just so amazing what hospitals can do, but that doesn't stop the worry.

Just to add that evil cat is being evil this morning and being more of a nuisance than normal. I do wish I had let her steal the curry last night. I suppose I had better let her out into the garden. Otherwise how is she going to be sick on the carpet later on?

All potential holiday-makers to Norfolk -live on the border but venturing into Norfolk today (horse racing at Yarmouth - Frankie Dettori has 4 races I think:wink:) and it is raining. DH slept on settee last night to accompany our scaredy cat dogs during the thunderstorms. Having said that, been here 16 years and the summers are usually very sunny and hot so fingers crossed for good weather for you.
Ok - better get ready to go.
    Have a lovely Thursday folks
