Thank you all so much for your good wishes for THE WEDDING!! Coming on here has definitely kept me sane so I thank you all for that!

Essex-girl - I hope your Dad does accept that he has depression; that's the first step to recovering from it, I think.
What a shame about your Remoska - you must have been so disappointed. I think Lakeland are pretty good at resolving problems so I don't think you'll have to wait too long for the replacement. It's well worth the wait, I promise!

Floss - have a great day!

Well, DH and BIL have just left and I'm having my coffee before I get stuck into the last bit of cleaning and organising. I intend to be reclining on the sofa eating grapes (Nelski - I need a hunk to hand them to me!) looking cool and elegant when my next lot of visitors arrive but the reality is they will probably turn up an hour early and cool and elegant will be frazzled and perspiring!

Hester - Good luck with your story!

Anyway, will love you and leave you all and pop back later.

    Morning everyone

silvercharming thinking of you and Dave. Hope he has had a comfortable night. ((hugs))
((hugs)) too to Jayward hope you feel better soon.
More ((hugs)) to Squiggly, Smoky, Candygirl's Dad, Beth's DBs, Essex-Girl's Dad and anyone else who needs one.

W**k today but as its job No 2, it may not take too long. If I do finish early I will try to get to the gym before heading to the supermarket for a mini shop.

House looks like a bomb has hit it - I can certainly tell that DS and DD are home again. DS tidied his bedroom yesterday and that mostly entailed putting everything that he couldn't stuff in a drawer into my room. So, it will all be finding its way back to his room today. Need to get the BM on when I get home and I might put the SC on too.

Got two estimated bills and while they say I owe a little bit for both the gas and elec, the readings are a little bit low so I owe more than the bills say. Need to look at how I can cut my usage even further as I really don't want my monthly payments increasing lots.

Need to make my fruit salad now. Have a thrilling Thursday. xx

    Morning

((( Hugs ))) to Silvercharming and Dave x

Lovely sunny day here (sorry N9eav :o )

Mioliere, glad you finished all your favours. My DS gets married on September 13th, so not long. I need to go and try to get a top today. The suit I have does have a top, but it doesn't have sleeves, and I don't want my bingo wings on show :D

Doing liver and onion for DH dinner, not for me, I hate the stuff

Have a great day everyone x

off to w*rk in a bit - my dfriend is meeting me for lunch and will come and sit in court for a bit if the judge says it's ok - I think he will as he's very nice. I think I've probably decided that I will almost definitely go to Bath next week. I've downloaded a walking tour and planned some things to do. i tried to book a hostel last night but they all want credit cards so I will ring a few today to see if I can do it over the phone with a debit card but if not it'll be me and my tent.
silvercharming - hope all is as well as can be - lots of shoulders here lovely

goodness - time to go - have a good day all

    I've been Money Tipped!
    Still praying for Silvercharming.

Mioliere - good luck tomorrow, I hope you have a splendid day. Have you ordered the gin for the day after? You need to prioritise some things, and gin, I think, is so important.

Essex-girl - I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. As someone currently in the middle of depression I hope that any insight I can give might be helpful so please pm me if you think it will be of use.

My husband came home early from work yesterday and spent most of the rest of the time in bed. Today he has gone back into work, and I wish he hadn't.

My little bear is in his cot, and I will be making his breakfast soon. It does sound like he has been bricklaying, so I am unsure what I will find when I venture up there. He has infinite capacity to surprise me.

I have absolutely no idea how today is going to go, so I suppose I had better get on with it. It would be very pleasant to just know what was going to happen next. I would also like to stop these dizzy spells. I found myself holding onto furniture far too often yesterday. It does get in the way of things.

got a busy 2 days off lined up now - 2 cleaning jobs(to help pay for getting my nails done) then in the morning have got an appointment with the consultant about my hysterectomy - hope she's got news!

Work has offfered me the chance of a 12 week course to become a qualified extend teacher(exercises for the elderly) it looks really interesting and I could use it for work and also run my own classes eventually too! just depends whether it clashes with my op.

(((hugs))) to those feeling down or poorly and I just want to wish Mioliere a wonderful day tomorrow!

  • Morning all,

not raining here right this minute, but I think we definitely had our quota last night... Think the storm has cleared the air a bit too, it was certainly a loud one...

Kathy, have a wonderful day tomorrow if you don't get back on here much & well done for all your hard work :)
Frugal, hope you get the confirmation today & you can relax a little then.
Hester, fingers crossed for Prima & the story!!!!!
Silvercharming, hope Dave has had a good night too.
Busygirl, sounds like you're having a great time :) Worry about the diet when you get back!
Essex-Girl, how irritating about the cable - I'd want to be playing with it straight away... It is hard when someone is suffering, just keep being there & being you, and things will improve, even if slowly.
Floss, have a great time in London :)

May get some banana bread going later as my little sis loves it & I can take it to Bognor this evening when I go & collect DD's. Was going to get some washing done & out but may need to keep an eye on the sky first...

Have a good day all, ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) to all those needing them.

    Morning :hello:

((((hugs)))) to silvercharming and OH, I hope they get him sorted soon.

Well, I woke up at 4:30 this morning  for no good reason - didn't need the loo, wasn't disturbed by anything - I think it was just cos it was so humid. Thanks to that, the fact that it was starting to get light, and the fact that a dog started barking continuously a couple of streets away, meant that I soon gave up on trying to get back to sleep (I'd had nearly 6 hours anyway) and got up, unloaded the WM, loaded the DW, had breakfast and tidied up a bit before coming into work for 8 o'clock (which will mean I can take a longish lunch break to go to a Pilates class, and possibly leave work a bit early too. That's on condition I get off MSE after this message and get on with my work! Boss is on holiday but I'm not generally one to take the mickey.)

My eye is a bit better this morning. The lid still looks red and swollen but it didn't puff up overnight like it did the previous 2 nights. Looks like the ointment is doing something anyway.

Lunch will be reheated HM chilli and rice, and I'm off to a concert this evening at the Proms so will grab a sandwich on the way. I haven't yet perfected the art of taking two packed meals a day, so (what with other things like beer money and concert programmes) this time of year is not very MSE. Having said that, I have so far spent WAY less than I did last summer! I'm much more organised.

Got nothing at all done last night, ended up downing a bottle of rose and chatting to a mate on Facebook IM, so didn't get my reviews finished (OK, didn't really get them started :o) so will have to organise myself to fit things in at the weekend.

I think I've changed my mind about the TV I was looking at for my bedroom, but I still want one - I think a 15 inch will be adequate (Aussie/Nels - no jokes about 15 inches being more than enough in the bedroom :naughty: ) and Richer Sounds have one on clearance that is a much more justifiable price than the 20 inch one I was looking at before. Hope to get one on Saturday.

mioliere - all the best for the wedding.

    Love Rzl xx

    Morning all,

Silvercharming - hope all is well with Dave
Hester - Good luck with the story
Mioliere - will be thinking of you tomorrow - hope the weather holds up for you.

Hugs to anyone else who needs one.

It's still raining here - we went to look for blackberries yesterday but they're not even red here yet so it will be a couple of weeks yet I think. Ds1 and the French exchange made biscuits yesterday afternoon and enjoyed it so I might get the pasta machine out this afternoon and set them to that.

We're meeting dh for lunch - the Indian next to his department does a reasonable set price lunch so we will treat the kids although I think A (French teen) has never had Indian before.

We had meat pie, new pots and peas for tea last night and he ate them all together - the other nights he has eaten his veggies as a separate course after the meat and rice - it must be a major culture shock for him. On a more MS note I have also ordered some Clubcard deals to take them to Harry Ramsdens after we go swimming next week so that's a lot cheaper.:D

Off to sort out the washing - I managed to knock over a glass of red wine at dinner last night - 2 teatowels and a tablecloth to sort out! Thank heavens for Biotex.

    Have a good day.
