Never found a problem with quotes on line - which company? Are you putting anything in the forms which would make them dubious?0
-
I don't think I am
Argos and Homebase wouldn't quote me. She's not neutered yet, but that didn't seem to make a difference with AXA.
I was surprised, I have to say.0 -
have you made any claims or taken the dogs to the vet for anything?
Yes, our older dog has just had a lump removed from his dew claw, turned out to be a mass cell tumor.Other than that no claims in 4 years.Looking into other companies I know he wont be covered for anything ongoing .I was shocked to see how many firms now want a high excess AND a % of vet bill.0 -
How odd. Have another go, may be their server was playing up or something. The rescue released her without neutering first? Have they given you a voucher or something towards the neutering?0
-
Well, they seem to be all increasing their premiums now and of course vets seem to be doing extras now that cost more.
Try AXA.0 -
Ive just had a quick look at the Healthy Pets website and as far as I can see its not even "for life" policies. There is a set limit to what you can claim in vet fees. (It may say "ongoing" but only up to that limit)
up to up to up to Vet's Fees £1,000 £4,000 £7,500
Ive just emailed them to complain their web ad is misleading and could lead to dire straits for someone who believes their policy covers an ongoing condition without limit.0 -

Martins recomendations on Insurance from Moneysupermarket.com is not to be followed if the Insurance you require is Pet Insurance. Moneysupermarket.com pet insurance for Two Cats Over Seven Years Old produce Quotes from one Insurer onlly:-E & L.
Owners with pets referred to the Small Animal Teaching Hospital of the University of Liverpool on Arrival are presented with an A4 Size letter. The letter states that if your pet is Insured with E & L you will be required to pay for the treatment your pet has recieved before you leave. The onus is on you to fight to have the costs reimbursed by the Insuranc Company E & L.

Right now I am paying £51 per month combined for my cat Tiger and dog Zara.
Dreading January and quote for reneval as this year Tiger was diagnosed with kidney cancer (vet gave him 2 months in January - Tiger still boses Zara around, on medication though which M&S is payign for).
Zara had an operation on her elbow, something growing there got infected and had to be cut out.
M&S were absolutely brilliant but I dread to see how much my insurance for my 2 furies will go up.....0
