Are you sure non-geographical numbers are free on BT?

Are you sure it's the same company SpookyLukey? I googled that number and it came up with this page (can't get linky thing to work - here it is https://www.axapet.co.uk/brochureware/ContactUs.html#Help with your quote ) and it's for axapet.co.uk and the email is for axapets@jltgroup. I'm not saying it isn't the same people, just that it doesn't link to the normal Axa website.

I've made a note of the number though, thanks.
  • AXA and JLT are the same people, my AXA direct debit comes off under JLT Group or something similar.

Hi Hethmar, on our unlimited weekend calling plan it says 0845 and 0870 numbers are included. I do know that 0844 and 0871 are not though as they're charged at a different rate.

When we took out our contract my OH inadvertently agreed to the weekend rather than the evening and weekend calling plan, when he rang back the next day to ask if we could change to the E & W they said no, we were contracted for 18 months. Now that 18 months is up the E & W plan is no longer available!!!

It all depends which BT package you have.

Thank you Cinderella, that seems to have cleared it up. I've added the number in with my Axa paperwork.

I'm definitely insured directly with Axa through www.axa.co.uk - this web address is also at the bottom of the letter that has the 0800 number on.

The letterhead is Axa, the insurance forms they sent me have Axa on etc (there's a number on the claim form for claim related queries only 0121 224 6782). However if you pay by installments the name on the bank statements appears as 'JLT CORPORATE RISK' rather than Axa.

Thanks for that SpookyLukey. Bit naughty of them not to put the 0800 number on paperwork for new policies. We're paying monthly so thanks for letting me know how it will appear on statements, we'd have wondered who they were when we saw JLT!

I have just bought my pet insurance for my dog with More than who came out very reasonable priced as well as having a good policy. I only have one animal but noticed they offered dicounts if you insured more than one pet. Also if you buy it via Quidco you get £40 cashback.

We currrently have all 3 dogs with More Than and they have been excellent at paying out on claims. Our vet will also claim directly from them which they won't do with all providers. Only problem is the renewals have rocketed this year and i have just been looking at quotes to move two of them to another insurer.

One dog has had cruciate ops on both back legs and as she might get problems in those legs on the future (she's only 2) we'll have to stick with More Than or risk big bills in the future.

The other dog we have claimed for was for something which is very unlikely to reoccur so we can cope with not being covered for that with another insurer. AXA is coming in £16 per month cheaper than More Than and with a slightly better policy too so it looks like it will be worth moving

Incidentally, More Than have offered us either a dog food hamper (by a top dog chef!) or a nights stay in a pet friendly hotel per policy but it seems like you only get this if you ring up and complain about the price increase.
