    Hi Hethmar -
Just getting quotes from M&S which has come in at £326 and AXA at £350 and More Than (but More Than seems to be limited to so much per condition - so maybe not the same). Do you have any comments on any of these companies?
    Many thanks

M and S was the bees knees when it first came out, no excess, good rates and then they doubled premiums in some cases and added £70 excess plus a percentage for dogs over a certain age.

AXA used to underwrite them. Just check out with AXA what their excess is and if they add a percentage on. To be honest Im surprised your M and S quote has come out lower - are you comparing like for like - both the best cover?

More than is not for life.

Oh, when you do decide just check on quidco to see whether the company you choose give cash back through them.

M&S = £7,000 cover - £70 excess - Price is with 15% discount for new customers online so will probably be more expensive than AXA next year.
    AXA = £7,000 cover - £75 excess

Didn't notice that over 9yrs. old M&S has £70 excess + 20% of cost. I didn't see if AXA is the same or not. Thanks for the tip on quidco, I have never used them before.

Has anyone used helpucover.co.uk (Pinnacle Insurance). Policy seems ok and premiums seem to be among the best for me. Down to £300 now and available thru Quidco (if I can work out how to use it).

Pinnacle actually have a good name in other insurances, I havent seen their pet insurance.

Oh you must join quidco, very easy and then when you want to buy something, do your kelkoo search or whatever to find the best price and then go to quidco to see if that merchant is on there or if another merchant offers such a good cash back that its worth buying from them.

You just log in at quidco, find the merchant, click on the link to them and just buy as you would normally.

Ive had nearly £800 in cashback in just over 2years (including £200 in one month on 2 car insurance policies and they were the cheapest buy anyway)

Just looked at Pinnacle - only the premier cover is genuine per year pay outs.

    Hi All,

Trying to get quotes for insurance for my puppy which i will be getting on Friday. 8 weeks old. Question is on the insurance questions it asks are they vaccinated and microchipped and neutuered. Well of course i will be doing all of them but at 8 weeks of age thats impossible. Any advise on what to do?

Plus i have 2 three year old cats who had cat flu when i got them quite bad actually would anyone actually insure these two? And if so is it worth it?

    Thanks

If you are getting the puppy from a breeder they will normally come with 6 weeks free - normally Petplan - insurance. Check it out with the breeder before getting another policy. Thenyou will have more time to sort it out.

Arghh... trying to sort out insurance for our 3 moggie cats. I want whole of life cover, not cover for each problem for a year.

Have checked MoreThan and M&S. Both have turned super cheeky and now have excesses of £50 plus 20% of the cost of any treatment. I want proper insurance not rip off insurance!

try Axa...a flat £75 per excess per condition (for my old siamese anyway), no % added, even for old pets.
