Make sure that you look into the cover offered. Some companies give a 12 month cap per condition whereas some do lifetime cover, I went with a lifetime cover in case of ongoing illness such as diabetes etc.
Debt free = December 2010...as of March 2006 it is now January 2010..... as of December 2008 it is now December 2009 :j hopefully sooner!!
:jDEBT FREE:j January 2012, took longer but I got there, all by myself, through sheer hard work and pride!

I insured my cat with pet plan in january, id only been with them 4 weeks when he became ill, we almost lost him twice and he was hospitalised for 2 weeks, we brought him home then he got rushed backin the next day, hes home now tho and is doing really well, all this resulted in a £967 vets bill and him requiring a special diet fro the rest of his life, All i had 2 pay was £60 which was the exess on my policy, the vets n pet plan dealt with everything else and pet plan even pay for his special food too which is around £50 per month currently.

Direct Line look reasonable, does anybody have any experience of using them?

i dont understand why people are saying they are having difficulty in claiming  in my experience your vets will do the chasing up for you, as it is in their interests....
I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

Without getting into a discussion on the pros and cons of pet insurance, can anyone recommend a good company for insuring older pets - i.e. a 12 year old dog and a 8 year old dog?
    Many thanks

If you own a small business, stick your dog/cat/budgie on your company logo - then it's officially a company mascot, and the business can pay for all its healthcare! Sounds like a Viz Top Tip, but it's actually true. :)

    What a brilliant idea!!!

    Hi

We've just acquired a 9 week old boarder collie.

Looking through the detail of cover for all the main ones it seems difficult to compare them.

    We're looking for cover for

Vets fees, not a 12 month limit on illnesses or accidents
Total cover for 3rd party up to £1m
    usual lost pet cover etc
Cover for any other main eventuality.

    Could anyone please advise?

    Thanks

    H
