I bought 6 bottles of Martel on Saturday. The points didn't show on my till receipt, so I went to the customer services desk to get them added manually. The girl went off to check the shelf tag, and having seen it, my points were added. If they hadn't added my points, I would have asked for a refund on the champagne. No way would I leave on some vague promise that the points would be added 'later', especially as the 100 extra points on a bottle of red wine *had* been added to my receipt.

I also tried to buy four of the 1000 point phones, and completed the order online, including authorized Tesco Clubcard credit card payment. I got an email overnight, saying my order had been cancelled due to a CC authorization problem.

I have had major problems with the 800 ponts for the Martell champagne. The pres pos is that they have searched for this offer and are unable to trace any offer like this.

Does anyone have a screen print.

    Thanks

Did your pioints for your champers show on your receipt? I just bought 2 bottles, SEL mentioned the 800 points offer but no indication on my receipt that these were added. Spoke to CS who said something about certain points offers not showing straight away.....but I am a bit sceptical.

You are just being fobbed off, as I was. The points should show on the receipt at the time of sale, wether internet or instore. Sometimes it may take time for the points to be transferred to your account.

As I stated in my previous post they are denying this offer

    Dear Joanne,

Firstly, please accept our apologies for the delay in replying to your e-mail.

I am sorry to hear that you felt you had not received your points for buying G H Martel Prestige Brut Non Vintage. I would not be happy if I has lost out on points either so I can understand why you felt the need to let us know.

I have checked all of our extra points products for the last 4 weeks and the only points that I can see is for Remy Brandy for 300 points, however, this expired on the 21/07/09 and it is not for the Remy Martel Champagne. There are some wines but no GH Marel Prestige Brut Non Vintage champagne.

They have continually tried to fob me off, I have spent time travelling to a larger Tesco, we only have an Express, but was told they couldnt refund as they are not a Direct Tesco, CS didnt mention this to me.

I have wasted time and effort and petrol money and I will be claiming compensation, not a lot, but I expect to be refunded for my time and petrol.

In future I will take a screen print of everything. Why did I think I could trust Tesco:mad::mad::mad:

Thankyou to Anna at the online dept and the kind girl at Bramley Tesco, who painstakingly tried to help me. Far better than the other CS people who made false promises.

isnt it amazing the selective memory of Tesco.. grrrrr quite ridiculous. of course you've fabricated the deal and bought expensive champagne jsut on the offchance they might give you some points. what f*ds. havent even been in my tesco to see if this offer is on but going on past experiences they would try and worm their way out of it anyway so wont bother trying! quite sad that a store with such mammoth profit margins try clawing things like this back from customers savvy enough to know how the points can work in their favour.

I wrote a snotty to clubcard about this and also about missing points on Pure milk. Thankfully I took a picture on my phone of the ticket, as well as a member of staff from the dept. seeing the ticket and the helpdesk colleage. They would have received imy letter yesterday. Will let you know if my response is the same as yours.

Hi all. My first post in here. Have been Reading up on clubcard for the last week and have begun my quest for a much reduced holiday! Jet to let you all k ow that Tesco finest sandwiches are all with 25 extra points at he mment the cheapest in can see is the roast chicken sandwich a 2.20. Not bad if you get them everday. But a word of warning. Despite the silver sticker the points do not automatically go on. For at least a week I have had to ask at the end for them to add them. Maybe tesco are getting sneaky?

Quick heads up....Britvic 12 Pack J2O...£7.49 plus 130 points....massive pile right at the front entrance of my local Tesco....(Ballymena, Northern Ireland)...they currently have buy 2 x 4 Packs for a £5...but no points (equivalent to £7.50 for 12)...so grab a 12 pack...and when you quadruple up, its worth £5.20 in deals

this deal must be "instore" only, they only have 4 packs online....
    I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j

Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:

Unfortunately not and I am in exactly the same position. I was fobbed off with the "come back in two days" line and when I did go back was flatly told no such promotion existed. Suspiciously, the shelf label had been removed and no-one claimed to know of the original customer service rep I had dealt with! So not only are they in breach of trading law, they are also lying about the offer.

I also had a quite extraordinary problem with an instore offer to "spend £30 instore" and get £10 off various spirits (my chosen item was incorrectly charged at full price of £14.09). Duty manager flatly refused to refund the £4.09, despite what the offer label clearly said. She eventually relented after I threatened to take the shelf label away as evidence.

I noticed that some of the 20 points offers on various fresh veg aren't showing on at till either.

    Anyone else having similar problems?

Yes I've been having problems with them too.... I have been buying the Lactose free milk. The shelf offer states that 25 extra points are available on this purchase. Twice now those points haven't shown up on my receipt - and I stupidly assumed that they will be added on in due course. Clearly that is not the case - so I will be going back to the said store armed with my receipts.

So yes it does seem as if MR Tesco are providing all these offers which sneakily they are not honouring unless you point out to them / or even have a row!
  • Interesting to know it is not limited to the 'champagne' them.

Incidentally, being armed with the receipt isn't going to be enough as my example shows. You need a receipt AND a photograph of the shelf label AND the full name of the staff member who first fobbed you off with the "it takes 48 hours" nonsense.

I think stores are getting confused between the increased balance, which does indeed take 48 hours to show on receipts, and the product-specific bonuses. If these don't show on the receipt, they won't show at all.

Hi ajamieson - I did go back to my store this afternoon and they just added on all the points they owed (even though I didn't even have both the receipts) without any trouble. But hey there is a big difference between getting 50 points owed and 800!

Good luck to you and I hope you manage to recover your points.
