It says 1000 extra points and then double points, does that mean you get 2000 points?
I've given up trying to get my signature to work with the new rules, if nobody knows what the rules are what hope do we have?

Did your pioints for your champers show on your receipt? I just bought 2 bottles, SEL mentioned the 800 points offer but no indication on my receipt that these were added. Spoke to CS who said something about certain points offers not showing straight away.....but I am a bit sceptical.

Same happened to me when buying two bottles. CS called HQ and were told they would be on my next statement. I didn't really belief it so rang clubcard. Clubcard said no all bonus points should show on the receipt. They rang the store I bought them at who told clubcard the offer was not on the Martell. I said it was on the self ticket but obviously I couldn't prove it. Decided to give it up as a bad job and take the two bottles back. Explained to different CS lady who said she would check, she returned with end of label showing 800 points and added them manually. Good result but what a lot of hassle.

I received a replacement tesco credit card yesterday. I notice that as well as the main long mastercard number it now also has a separate clubcard number embossed in the bottom left hand corner.

My previous card didnt have this. Does it make any difference to anything?

Wow, I never cease to be amazed by how nonchalant so many shoppers are about wasting money. That was almost like dropping £9 on the floor.
Some people still use their clubcard vouchers for buying groceries when they could double or quadruple them. Worse than that though are the people that dont spend them at all, those that just bin them, or lose them, or stick them in a drawer and let them expire, or for years have their vouchers sent to an old address.

When I ended up with over a hundred bottles of Johnsons baby talc last year, people accused me of "cheating" or "spoiling it for others". Well sorry but the extra points that I got from that promotion and subsequently spent wisely, are not a drop in the ocean of those points that are never ever spent by all those couldnt care less type customers.

Not so far in my experience ...

but I think tesco are wising up to this though... When I wanted 5 bottles of aftershave last week each with 500 exra points, the pharmacist called the store manager. They would only sell them to me if I agreed not to return them to the store and they marked my receipt to say this. They tld me that some people had been getting the free points then bringing the goods back. Wont be long before that loophole gets closed i think.

Does your Tesco's have a drinks can recycling machine? Ours does, its in the carpark and you swipe your clubcard then pop in aluminium cans and get 1 point for two cans, this boosts my points slowly but surely.
