I've had car insurance for 2 years and sometimes it takes that long to add points you'll never notice.
The first year they didn't do it at all!
I queried it and after many months where CS were a waste of time, it eventually got added to my account plus 500 points for the aggro.

    CHECK YOUR STATEMENTS!

My first post for ages. Have been a Tesco credit card holder for years and am a committed redeemer of vouchers for holidays. Some great advice on here ; but is there any way I can actually " check my statement " or do I have to rely on what is printed at the bottom of my till slip ?

If you're registered online you can check your balance here.
    https://secure.tesco.com/register/clubcardDetails.aspx?vstore=17
It only shows your current balance (less any points 'still in the system') though so it's probably no better than a till receipt.

A "normal" clubcard is already incorporated in your Tesco Credit Card so you would not get any more points if you handed over a separate clubcard. This is why Tesco say that using their credit card you earn 5 points for every £4 you spend in Tesco and 1 point for every £4 spent anywhere else. In fact you are earning just 1 clubcard point for every £4 you spend in or out of Tesco - it is just that because their credit card is also a clubcard, you earn the extra 4 points in Tesco which you would have using a clubcard anyway. Hope this makes sense!

ive just applied for their credit card and am awaiting it in the post with all the paperwork etc

in future, when we use the credit card instead of the club card, will the points balance/points additions still show on the receipt?

at the moment when we shop we scan our clubcard before we pay and i guess that's used to put the data onto the receipt, does the credit card do the same thing, ie show what points you've earned and your current tally?

They do something funny with your clubcard nos. tho - I think they merge your existing Clubcard onto your credit card and the clubcard number that then shows up on your receipt is somthing completely different again! In case you're wondering what that number relates to!

Also you can't check your new balance online. You put in your original clubcard number and it just shows what the balance was when it merged! Still, I'm doing quite well at the mo, having bought my car mainly on my Tesco credit card last year!

    Hi Guys

First post and all that, so please bear with me!!!!

Im trying to boost my clubcard points as much as possible to convert into airmiles.
Is there a section on the tesco website that lists all the double, triple points offers every week?
I saw on last weeks money saving email, the deal about the 500 bonus points on certain perfumes/aftershave. I had planned to buy some from my local tesco extra but when i got there I couldnt find any of the ones with the extra clubcard points and even now I cant seem to find them online for home delivery. Is this a common occurance or am I missing something?

I plan to read through as muchas this thread as possible tonight, but any hints/tips etc would be most appreciated!!!!

    Cheers.... Bren
